Def start by taking a lesson somewhere. There's some technical stuff about boarding that you need to learn before just hop on and start shredding. But don't worry, you'll pick it up fast!

Hey llamagirl6! Just put yourself in her shoes. What if you traveled to a different country where you didn't have your friends and couldn't really understand what people said? You'd want people to be really nice and try to make it easier for you, right? So just do that. You could also put together a little care package for her before she gets there, with postcards she can send to her friends, some yummy American snack food, and whatever else you can think of that will make her feel welcome!

You should get a bunch of your friends together after school or on the weekends, head to a park, and just kick a soccer ball or throw a frisbee around. That way it's all for fun, not competition, and you'll have a blast with your friends while you're doing it!

Indoor rock climbing looks scary, but actually it's totally fun. Make an appoint with your gym teacher before the day you actually have to do the climb, and let her know you're worried. She might let you do some extra practice or have some tips for you.

Thanks for writing! I try to get to as many questions as I can, but between school, practice and walking Marty, sometimes I just can't get to them all. I try to make the rounds. Sometimes I don't get to every board every day so it might take a few days. (And, as you noticed, sometimes I start from the top down -- the most recent posts -- I'll try to do better digging in to the older posts!)

I try to answer different questions. If I don't answer yours, it might mean that the question was answered somewhere else on the site, OR maybe it's because I am trying to get an answer to something -- OR, I just had TOOOOO much homework that night!
