Indoor rock climbing looks scary, but actually it's totally fun. Make an appoint with your gym teacher before the day you actually have to do the climb, and let her know you're worried. She might let you do some extra practice or have some tips for you.

Thanks for writing! I try to get to as many questions as I can, but between school, practice and walking Marty, sometimes I just can't get to them all. I try to make the rounds. Sometimes I don't get to every board every day so it might take a few days. (And, as you noticed, sometimes I start from the top down -- the most recent posts -- I'll try to do better digging in to the older posts!)

I try to answer different questions. If I don't answer yours, it might mean that the question was answered somewhere else on the site, OR maybe it's because I am trying to get an answer to something -- OR, I just had TOOOOO much homework that night!

Yeah, I have that same problem sometimes. I def would not try to pick a fight with the bullies. That'll only make things way worse. I think the best thing to do is just let those comments roll right off your back. I mean, who cares if you're short? It's not like you can do anything about it! And actually, being short is kind of cool sometimes. Like how it helps me be super-speedy on the b-ball court. So stand tall and be proud of your shortness!

Dude, I LOVE swimming! If I could fit swim team in my after-school schedule, I totally would. I love just gliding through the water and using ALL muscle groups at the same time. It’s an awesome workout. Good luck in your swim meets!

Soccer RULES! That’s so cool that you’re a defender and a midfielder. Those are tough positions—believe me, I know.

But, I like goalie the best. Even though I’m a bit vertically challenged (a.k.a, short!), I can jump high and race back and forth between the goal posts to block shots. Sometimes, I miss and the ball swooshes by. But, I don’t hate being goalie! That stuff happens from time to time. Oh well!

And, yeah, I love snowboarding! If you know how to ski, maybe try ’boarding next time you hit the slopes. It’s hard to get the hang of it, but once you do, it ROCKS!

Losing class president was disappointing, but I’m not going to stress about it. There’s still plenty of time for me to serve the public in other ways!

Sporty Shorty—that’s awesome! Yeah, I have a TON of energy, and I totally let it all burst out when I’m on the field or on the court. I hear you about competitiveness and showing off. It’s okay to want to win, but being a good sport is even more important. Plus, showing off is lame. Just being yourself and playing as a team is the way to go.
Summer with the BSG rocks so far! We’re just totally CHILLAXIN at our favorite summer hangouts. And wherever there’s freeze pops. YUM!
