Brookline Movie House

Maeve's dad runs the Brookline Movie House, located right on Harvard Street in the heart of Brookline. It's no wonder Maeve loves movies so much; she and her family live in the apartment right above the movie theater!

This small theater is known for its awesome movie festivals (the Frankenstein Festival, the Cartoon Festival, and the Old Movie Festival, to name just a few). And, of course, the Movie House has the best popcorn in town. The Beacon Street Girls love hanging out in the theater with each other and with other Abigail Adams Junior High students. The Movie House was the site of Maeve's first disastrous date with Nick Montoya in book 1, Worst Enemies/Best Friends. That date will go down in history!

Don't miss book 4, Out of Bounds, when the Movie House takes center stage. The BSG team up with their classmates to try and save the theater from being shut down forever!

So, I like comedies and musicals, but not cheesy musicals like High School Musical, REAL musicals, like Grease, the original high school musical. but these are the kind of movies I like:

Romantic Comedys (fave romantic comedies: The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates)
Horror
...and pretty much anything, as long as it's good.
