maddy12345672- Hi! I'm Tea_House_Moon (even though it says I'm TwilightGrobanite, I just got a new account to switch out to!) Welcome to the board! I can't wait to talk to you about the theater! -Tea_House_Moon
hermione23- Wow, that's awesome! My best friend (who oddly didn't go to my school until this year) was Annie in her Annie Jr. Show a couple of years ago. I totally wished I could've gone to her school! -Tea_House_Moon
broadwaybeauty- Hm, I have really no idea. (My mom had to remind me that they were on!) They probably have them on the net somewhere... -Tea_House_Moon
hplvr123- YES!!!! (That's the reason I changed my name for a while...I'm anticipating the last book and movie!!! I have no idea what will happen, but I just hope Stephenie Meyer ends the series right! -Tea_House_Moon
since i had 3 LEAD rolls in my years [SO FAR] here r some tips *practice by using mirror and recite lines *practice performing with u're family or friends. *read it at knight and fall asleap reading it
Guys,i auditioned for a play called ''totally the prince beauty frog im playing the princess priya[pEReEa]she turns into a frog by a jealous queen im doing the lead!!!
ive stared to 2 musicals and 3 plays [beauty and the beast, the chrismas carol, guys and the dolls, cinderelle, and peter pan. ps.i was wendy in peter pan and cinderella 2 lead rolls in my life.
hi i am new 2 this club, i will post some acting tips often and i hope everyone will share some with me i have been in a few plays and a musical(annie). thats about it.
i was in a musical called annie and i learned some tricks for acting. first of all you can not be shy, even if you really are.try performing in front of your best friend then a few more friends.keep performing in front of bigger and bigger groups every time. and also, KNOW THE WORDS! you don't want to be caught in auditions going "i am so, exit?, no.. exite, wait oh, exited!" trying to figure out how to say a word total emberassment! it really pays off to be a good reader in acting
Hey everyone! Just to let you all know that if you ever see anyone post as "TwilightGrobanite" that's me! So don't get freaked out if you see that user claiming to be me...because it is me! -Tea_House_Moon
broadwaystar29 Coolio! Do you know a lot of French, or just those phrases (i'm teaching myself)? People call me a drama queen, but I don't understand...
Did anyone watch the Tony's last night? All the performances where amazing! I started crying when the original cast of RENT came on and sang Seasons of Love. That song has so much meaning for me (it was the last song I sang with a theater company that sadly stopped.) Kristin Chenoweth was so hilarious with her Defying Gravity joke! -Tea_House_Moon
ave4u- Wow, that's awesome you've been in 7 or 8 plays. No, I haven't been in more than 20 but I have been in around 15 or 16. Most of them though were from when I was a little kid! LOL! -Tea_House_Moon
broadwaybeauty- Aw, thanks! Ooh, it's so exciting being able to act and get training during the summer! Theater camps are GREAT! I can't wait for your's to start (you'll have a blast!) -Tea_House_Moon
Tea_house_moon, That sounds soo much fun!!! I want to go to a theater camp this summer but I cant bcus I have alot of stuff to do. But I will have to study and memorize my script over the summer bcus the play is next year in the fall. Good Luck with the performance! ~actress10105
Ballet Dancer, Ya that happened to me! I thought I had like no lines but then I checked it over and I had them! The play is called The Chronicles of Jane Book Seven. It seems pretty interesting when I read the script! I cant wait (even though its next year in the fall)! ~actress10105
yo, every1! thanks for letting me join! i have been in i think 7 or 8 plays! they are really fun! has anyone on here been in more than 20? well talk again later! ave4u
happy13happy, If you know the name of your local theatre, google it or look in the theatre section in your phone books to find out about when to audition. I hope you find something-good luck! ~broadwaybeauty
Hey everyone! Just to warn you all, this Friday is a show (from my theater camp) and this will be a really hectic week. If you don't see me in a couple of days, don't worry! I'm definately not leaving this board! I'll just be busy... -Tea_House_Moon
happy13happy, pinkpatra, sydlukelover, asianangel100, coolio628628- Hi! I'm Tea_House_Moon! Welcome to the board. If you want to chat just drop me a message! -Tea_House_Moon
actress10105- That's Great!! I'm So Happy for you!!! My camp is going good (except for having to build the set, which made my shoulders ache for the rest of the day.) But our show is going to be fun (I have to go into the audience at one point) -Tea_House_Moon
actress10105 No, I don't know about Tea_House_Moon I'm so happy you got a big part! What show is it? I love it when I first see the script in any show. Once, I got it and didn't think I had any lines. I was so sad! Then, my bff comes up to me and goes "Love your lines!" I thought she was being mean, then I realized... all the pages of my script (with my scene in them) had stuck together! Kinda embarassing.
Asinangel, I will tell you a true story See in Kindergarden I was the best actress but I had stage fright but I still led my class too do a whole song! I ''Directed it'' I said '' Blah Yip'' then they said ''Blah Yip'' not exzactly what we said but i'm in 4th grade I'm lucky I even remember it! But just remember stay calm and do not ever forget your line if you do just look at the director and he/she should whisper something whenever I forget thats what I do
Tea_house_moon, I got my script and part for the play!!! Its kind of a short play but I have lines on mostly every page! Iam sooo happy! Hows theater camp??? -actress10105
Coolio628628: I agree with you. When you step on stage. You don't get nervous and you just feel confident and think to yourself that you can do it. -Asianangel100
yo, all! can i join? i love to b in the spotlight! I got to see a Musical yesterday, High School Musical! in MN, put it on my bro did spotlighting! or is it spot lights? well anyway, it was really good! they are doing it 9 more times still! i am not old enough to do it yet, only 1 12 years to go! lol! this is really wierd but i felt like jumping on the stage with them! lol! so if i cant join just say, "I am kiking you out" ok? well i hope i can join! ave4u
Broadway.Spazz.08- Lol, I've always wanted to fall asleep onstage (especially on school nights) My shoulders are hurting as I type because yesterday we had to build the set for my theater camp. We're doing the Reduced Shakespeare Company! (Really funny) Well, anyway I had to lift this huge block and carry it down the stairs. OW! I hope you get to feeling better! -Tea_House_Moon
Tea_house_moon and Broadwaybeauty, Thanks so much! Iam soooo excited and anxious to see what part I got! The cast list comes out tomorrow!!!! I cant wait! ~actress10105
We just finished our play, and I'm so sad! We all worked so hard on it, and now it's over! But I had a great time (Having the lead, after all). I can't wait for next year's play! We're doing a murder mystery! SparkleGal
Ballet Dancer, I hate waiting for the cast list to come up too! One time, the director messed up when he wrote it, and I was listed to play a boy character (I ended up getting the girl part I wanted, though!)lol Talk to you soon!
Broadway.Spazz.08 I get so tired after (and during) rehersals sometimes I just want it all to go away for a minute so I can rest.. but then they call one of my scenes! When is opening night for Fiddler? About Les Miz, I loove the song castle on a cloud! I did it once and I was so happy I could sing it (its not really in my range)!
actress10105 and broadwaybeauty I hate waiting for the cast list! My director always makes us wait SUCH A LONG TIME to see it! Once, the play was in 2 weeks, and we still hadn't seen the list. Once we did, it was boot-camp. No warmups or anything. Just late rehersals every night (and with homework... it was bad).
All of the people who love singing and dancing with the door closed, I do too! I really like the songs "Pocketful of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield, "Our Song" by Taylor Swift and "Outside Looking in" by Jordan Pruitt.
broadwaybeauty, I was so nervous when they came to the skipped line. But for people who want to be on Broadway so badly I thought it took them way to long to correct it. Oh well !!!!! I love that show!
Tea_House_Moon, I know they will air it again because I saw a rerun of it!
Both of Y'all, I LOVE LIP SINGING TO MY IPOD IN FRONT OF THE BATHROOM MIRROR!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH P.S. is it lip sing or lip sync? I really don't know.
ugh, i am really tired from rehersels for Fiddler. it went till about 9:30 PM last night, and I still have school (it ends friday)..... and i have to be at school at 7:00 AM for yearbook....so i got like NO sleep! but i got the day off today (kinda..i had ballet, acro and voice...so its a break from Fiddler though its my one of fav. shows i have done so far)....anyway, have you ever had this where you are SOOOOOO tired from rehersel you just want to lay on the stage and sleep? _Broadway.Spazz.08_
PS I'm also sore from acro, but i guess i better get used to this if i want to be on broadway!
Tea_House_Moon, MTV plays the Legally Blonde episodes constantly-I'm sure you'll catch it sometime! Oh, I also lip sync to m6y ipod and sing in front of my bathroom mirror! lol Talk to you soon! ~broadwaybeauty
broadwaybeauty- LOL, I wanna sing along! I usually go into my bathroom and lip sync with my iPod and dance around. Once I left the door open and my dad walked by and he was all, "Okay...." -Tea_House_Moon
actress10105- I'm so happy that your play and audition when great!!! Sorry I haven't been on in a while, i've been so busy!! Can't wait to hear what part you get! -Tea_House_Moon
actress10105, I'm so happy for you that your audition went well and that casting director seemed to like you! I bet you're anxious to see the cast list-I always am! *broadwaybeauty*
BooButterfly, Thanks so much!!!! Ya I hate when lines are skipped but luckily my friend improved so I didnt skip them and I got to say them. Also it was really kind of weird that the auditions for another play was 2 days after the play I was in, but the auditions are for a play that will be next fall, they just wanted to have auditions so everyone can practice their lines over the summer. ~actress10105
Tea_house_moon and broadwaybeauty, I just had my audition. The person told me I did great and she was smiling too! I was soooo happy! Our parts come out on Friday!!!!! ~actress10105
On the recent episode of Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods, I thought it was a cool test to see how the girls reacted, when the actress who played Brooke Windom on Broadway, skipped her line on purpose! I also think that Bailey did a great job in the acting workshop! ~broadwaybeauty
actress10105, Congrats on the play!!!!! I know you were diapointed that they skipped your lines because that happened to me also! But how are you in so many plays cause you just finished one and are auditioning for another? If so you are lucky
Broadway.Spazz.08, Sure, I'd love to be friends! Have you seen any new shows lately? ~broadwaybeauty P.S. actress10105, I wish you luck at your audition tomorrow!
Tea_house_moon, Guess what??? MY play was last night and I did great!!!! I got all my lines down and my friends skipped some of my lines but this one girl fixed it so I got to say them anyway!!!!! Also backstage was soooooo fun!!!!! My audition for another play is tomorrow! I cant wait!!!! ~actress10105
Broadway.Spazz.08, I love Rhianna in the MTV show. Yeah, there are quite a self-centered girls there (but most of them don't have the potiental to be Elle, I think) Anyways, I can't wait to watch the new episode today! BTW, I think it's awesome you'll be auditioning for Les Miz-I've actually always dreamed of having a role in it-I love "On My Own" and "Castle on a Cloud". Well, break a leg on Fiddler! TTYL ~broadwaybeauty (PS. I love reading your comments!)
supergirl1997- Oh Gosh, once I was in James and the Giant Peach and the guy who played the Centipede knocked over the peach. I almost cracked up and broke Character! Thanks for the advice! -Tea_house_Moon
Broadway.Spazz.08- Oh no, you're not rude at all! A lot of people (well my friends who watch the show) think that it is not fair that she is on it because she has already been in Hairspray. I like Rianna too....but I did not like that one girl they thought looked like Reese. She just didn't click in my opinion! WOW...Les Miz...now THAT'S intense! I love the song I dreamed A Dream!! -Tea_House_Moon
Hey everyone (Talking about Legally Blonde)- I don't mean to be rude but does anyone else think that Cassie S.(the burrnatte Cassie) thinks too much of herself, like she is better then everyone else. I like Rianna the best so far. She looks like Elle woods and is really good On MTV.com you can see her first audtion when she reads lines she is SOOOO funny
-Broadway.Spazz.08 PS Vocal Coach for Fiddler on The Roof called me saying that the next show we are doing (which starts 2 weeks after Fiddler...well starting the 'sing through' which we do before do get a feel for the music)Les Miz..I'm Trying out for Older Cosette (The Cosette trough most of the play), My sister (who is Chava in Fiddler and is older (looks younger then me in Fiddler. I'm taller), but looks nothing like me. I got the green eye and blonde straight hair. She the strawberry blonde curls and aqua eyes) is trying out for Éponine. And my cousins who looks like I did when I was 10, is trying out for the younger Cosette!
supergirl1997, Yeah, I've had to bite the insides of my cheaks from laughing during a show, a couple times too. Once, when I was doing a play version of "The Best Christmas Pagaent Ever", my prop got knocked out of my hands and fell out into the audience! I had a hard time not to laugh! ~broadwaybeauty
Ballet Dancer- I was a chorus kitten in Cats at the community theater, and they had to AIRBRUSH my face every night before the show!mI was freaking out because it would not come out, even when my mom SCRUBBED! I went to school the next day though, and people asked why I had make-up on and I told them I was in a play. It was actually a cool conversation item! -Tea_House_Moon
BooButterfly - It blew me away that she was only 19! Riannon has such an Elle Woods look- I wish I had her smile! I felt so terrible for some of those girls who sounded so great during the beginning of the song but they lost it on the last note. I remember one girl was like, "I am so much better....Than beforeeeeee....er...ore!!!" I would be so humiliated to be cut infront of the rest of the girls! (Did you know that Cassie S. was in the movie Hairspray as Brenda? I knew she looked familiar!) I could not sing that last note for that long....I don't think I have that much lung capacity! Oooh! Thanks, I have to go check the website!! -Tea_House_Moon
Tea_House_Moon, I have NO idea who will win they are all great!!! But I know I can sing the whole part they showed of "So much better" except for the last LONG note I was like "OH MY LORD!!!!!!!" haha XOXO,BooButterfly P.S. IF you go online and go to "The search for Elle Woods" you can see all the girls FULL performances of "So Much Better"
Tea_House_Moon, I tottaly agree I learned sooooo much about the biz from that one episode.Like when he was like that was a hit and I was like "SAY WHAT!" hahahaha she was NOT a hit. but I was really sad to see Rachel go because she had some PIPES! But I really like Riannon don't you? her voice isn't that strong but she is soooooooooo Elle!!!!! XOXO, BooButterfly
Tea_house_moon- I love the Legally Blonde MTV show. I get to see who every wins on broadway this summer so i'm soaked! My finger is sore and my director wont let me have people sign it till AFTER the show! But my friend "Motel" (i call my friends by their charther name) is carrying all my books around so it's ok!
Balletdancer- OMG! That happened when I was playing Lily in Annie for my school (Fiddler on the roof is a Kid Company production). I had my hair in tight ringlets and really heavy make up on and my hair the next day (even after I washed my hair) was curly and I still had alot of eye makeup on. My friend who played Rooster (Who is playing Motel in Fiddler) had mascara on the next day and eye liner. And he is a really tall football kid(not fat though). So it happens alot! -Broadway.Spazz.08 The Crippled (A nickname from Motel)
thx tea house moon ur preety much the only one whos talked to me if u want can u vote 4 my ideas in the whats your club section what play are u in right know
Have you ever been in a situation where you are in a play on a school night and when you go home you scrub all the makeup off your face, but then you wake up and it is still there and won't come off? That happened to a bunch of girls (including me) at my school. There is a rule against make up at my school, so we went to school wearing mascara and lipstick. We looked really wierd and all the boys looked at us strangely, like we all had 6 heads or something!
I love the song Hot Luch from Fame! Whats up with the really long intro music? We did it at my school and the girl did a really good job (better than the original by a lot)!
i love acting and talking 2 u guys but the comments take forever to shoe up if u have the same prob go to whats ur club and vote on page one it was my idea we should have a club like that im so happy to have a drama club swimdude we were praticly seperated at birth i love 2 act and when i do that with my friends they get mad but alot of ppl encourage me to act
Has anyone here (other than BooButterfly because I know she has) watched Legally Blonde the Musical:Search for the nest Elle Woods? It's AWESOME!! Yesterday I saw it on TV, and my mom (who I called into the room, because she loves the movie Legally Blonde) and we thought it was so cool. I learned alot about the business, just by watching it. Like, how sometimes you might not be what the director was looking for, even if you were good, or that even if you are tired you still have to work hard. What do you think? I thought that the one girl who the guy thought was "a hit" was terrible! -Tea_House_Moon
BooButterfly- Okay, so my dad was flipping through the channels yesterday, adn I saw the Legally Blonde: Search for the next Elle Woods on!! I pretty much grabbed the tv remote from my dad and was a like, Turn it on! I loved it!! I would be so nervous singing "so much better" infront of all of those judges, especially the big broadway guy! Who do you think will win? I LOVE Wicked!!! -Tea_house_moon
enyone have eny tips on acting i do i can pretend to cry reallly well if i consentrate hard anough thin actule tears will come and to make my face reed i just hold my breath the hole sene
its so cool to talk to people who appreciate acting like me a lot of my friends think its stupid buts so fun pretending to be some one else and all your troboles are being lifted
Tea_House_Moon, YAH it is hosted by Haylie Duff!!! I ♥L♥O♥V♥E♥ the show it is soooooooo awesome! P.S. I just had a birthday sleepover and I got the Wicked Soundtrack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooooooo happy!! Do you like Wicked?
Sorry I mean I agree with Balletdancer on Artcub5's post. Im on a medcine that makes me drowsy, beacuse I broke my finger yesterday! Me, my sister (cheerleader007) and friends (my sister plays Chava and my 4 friends play Yente, Golde, Motel and Perchik) after the dress rehersel where walking to my house to have pizza and wacth the DVD Fiddle. And by my house, about 5 minutes from my house, their is this park with a really big tire swing. Well me, my sister,Yenta(Im going to call my friends by who they play), Perchik and Golde got on. Since Motel was the biggest, he spun us. The chain got wrapped on my finger since I was standing, holding onto the chain higher then everyone else. All I felt was pain and I heard the SNAP. My finger cracked and I have it in a split. I can still do the plan but with a broken finger. So thats why I messed up! Sorry! -Broadway.Spazz.08 The Crippled (the nickname Motel gave me, since I have surgery and alot of broken bones :-) )
Artcub5- I agree with Tea_House_moon. They wouldn't cast someone who can't act as the lead. You just my be a 4 time threat. Acting, singing, dancing AND drawing! hope the show goes well. -Broadway.Spazz.08
Ballet Dancer, Hey! I have seen ur name alot on this page but havent talked to u. Soo, r u going to be in any upcoming plays, musicals, or anything else??? ~actress10105
Tea_house_moon, But I'm also a bit scared for opening night because we had to cancel our ress reahersal which was going to be on Friday, and the show is on the 9th (Monday). ~actress10105
Broadway.Spazz.08 Glad dress rehersals went well! I bet you are so ready for the show (dress rehersals at my school are never good)
artcub5 No! It doesn't mean you're a bad actress! You got a lead (let me tell you, not everyone gets a lead) and had one of your pictures picked. That you're really really good at acting and drawing!
Tea_house_moon, Ya and also if my scene does get cut out then I could just improve! Thats what my Director of the play said to do just in case! ~actress10105
Kickbootygirl, I'm almost 13. Actually all of those plays were classes so I was guaranteed to get a part. Also, most of the people in the classes are older than me so they get the leads. I know if I keep working at it eventually I will get bigger parts again( I was extremely surprised when I got the cat-in-the-hat role in seussical.)What plays have you been in? MusicalStar
I have been in this acting camp at my school for 5 years and for the first time i got one of the lead roles and today is the show actually its a musical but we had to draw pictures for the fliers and miy picture was the one that was picked i am starting to think that they like my drawing more than my acting does that mean i am a bad actress.
Has anyone seen that new show "Legally Blonde the Musical, the Search foe Elle Woods"? That show is AWESOME!!!! It comes on MTV (but it isn't bad) so check it out
Tea_house_moon, I didnt have my audition yet, I found out that it is next week not this week. My play airs on Monday. Hopefully we wont skip one of my scenes!!! ~actress10105
No one is a wanna be! Even if you are just starting out, you're an actress. I heard this phrase once "There are no small parts". It doesn't matter if you're a lead or not, just have fun! Luck to all you people in shows coming up soon!!!!
Broadway.Spazz.08- Well, I'm not in any "real shows" but I am going to be in this theater camp next week in which we will do a huge performance at the end. I don't know what play they are doing, because I think it depended on how many kids signed up. Then after that I think I might go on vacation with my parents and sis, but then come back to do another camp at a diff. theater. It's gonna be a busy summer. OMG! Fiddler opens in 2 weeks!? That's so awesome! -Tea_House_moon
Tea_House_Moon- Whats shows are you going to be doing in the next couple mouthes? For me, I start Opening night of Fiddler on the roof in 2 weeks! AHHH! I'm playing Hodel, who sings Far from the Home I love! Hope u make some shows! -Broadway.Spazz.08
My parents would not let do broadway and hollywood for a reasons. not beacuse im not good enough. my parents want me to enjoy childhood, not having to work everyday in shows and movies. I'm not a wanna be actress. all of us are actress if we have done a show, let it be a summer camp show or a school play -Broadway.Spazz.08 PS I have been in over 6 shows in the last year, so I have been acting alot, just not on Broadway.
acting rocks and i say that you should just hav fun and don;t be nervous at an audition! thats whats gotton me through my auditions and i've even gotton roles!!
H20101- It's nice that you want to give us advice and that you have a nice career, but some people can be offended by a comment like that. Other than that, welcome to the board! -Tea_House_Moon
BooButterfly- Excellently said!! It's nice if you want to give tips and tell stories, but there is a fine line between saying and bragging. -Tea_House_moon
Umm this is just my personal opinion, but I think this club is not here for people to just come in and state all their accomplishments (unless your asked). I don't know, I guess I just think that's kind of rude.
Tea_house_moon, Iam sad and mad because today we rehearsed for the play one more time and we skipped over one of the scenes that I'm in!!! ~actress10105
broadwaybeauty- OMG! I got tickets to go see Hairspray on tour! I'm going on June 28th!! That's awesome~ Anyway, ugh, babies crying. Once I was singing in this choir and we were singing this really beautiful song. Right at the end (which is the best part) a baby started to whail and that was the night they TAPED IT!!! So now whenever I listen to the recording I hear this WAH! Sad times... -Tea_House_Moon
Tea_house_moon, Thx for the audition thing!!! I hope I do well! And guess what? I memorized my monologue for the audition too! I still have to get some of my lines for the play perfected though. Hope u reply!!! ~actress10105
Tea_House_Moon, Thanks for the advice you helped a lot!! I don't know why my dad thinks that I will change!! Well on a funnier note your elevator story was sooooooo hilarious! I laughed so hard my mom was like "umm.....what's wrong" hahahaha. Toodles,BooButterfly P.S. Did I read that you like West Side Story? That is my fav musical. "I feeeeelll Preeeeettty! Ohhhh sooooo Preeeettyy!" haha lol
A highschool in my city performed Cats once. It was really musical, but it was hard to understand what they were saying because they were singing all the time, and was a little confusing! LOL -Stretch12
I am a total drama nut! Acting is so much fun! My favorite role has been the cat in the hat in Seussical the Musical. I have also been in Footloose,Guys&Dolls,A Midsummer nights dream and many other plays. I think the worst part of acting is that I have been type cast to playing male roles. The best part is all the friends I make during the run of a show. Because I am a shy person it feels really good to be on stage and to be a comepleatly different character. My advice when auditioning is to be yourself when you talk to the directer. Also, when auditioning for a certain role don't just pick the main character to get lots of attention, pick a role you really would enjoy playing. Also, if you don't get the part you wanted remember there is always next time and if you got a very small role think about how bad the play would be if there were only the three main parts. I hope this was good adivice for anyone who needs it. MusicalStar
BooButterfly- Hm, why does he think that you will turn into something you're not? Just because people in Hollywood mess up a lot, doesn't mean that you will. Maybe you should talk to your dad about it or you can ask your mom to talk to him.(I'm sorry if this is bad advice!) -Tea_House_Moon
actress10105- I will be out of school on Wednesday! Yeah, the camp is at one of the schools around here. The kids that teach it are Really nice! You'll do awesome at your audition! Yeah, for a touring company, the cats people were awesome (They could dance like there was no tomorrow!) -Tea_House_Moon
BooButterfly- LOL! I was in the elevator at my school (because of my back I was one of the only kids who got to ride it) and I had heard that it was soundproof. Well, I broke out into song in the elevator and when it finally reached the floor I wanted, some dude was standing outside and asked if that was me singing! I was like, "Uh, no!" -Tea_House_Moon
Tea_House_Moon, It's cool that you got to see Cats...I've always wanted to see it live! A few months ago, my sister and I went to go see Annie on tour, and this baby was sitting behind us and kept crying during the whole production, totally annoying, right? P. S. I'm so excited because Hairspray on tour is coming to my city next year! TTYL ~broadwaybeauty
Tea_house_moon, COOL acting camp!!! Where is it? Thanks soooo much for the advice too! Are u out of school for the summer??? Hope u reply soon!!! ~actress10105
Tea_House_Moon, I agree I wish life were a musical!!!! But once in the middle of the grocery store my sister and I started singing "Good Morning Baltemore"!! It was sooooooooooo funny all these people were just staring and laughing at us!! hahahahahaha lol! Well ttyl, BooButterfly
Broadway.Spazz.08- I would love to be computer friends! I wish life was a musical sometimes...I could just go outside in the street and burst into song... -Tea_House_Moon
Okay guys, today I went to go see Cats at the local music hall, and it was AWESOME!!! The cats actually came into the audience and I was all, Come over here to me! Lol, the only problem was was that this little girl was bouncing in her chair infront of me, and she stood up actually during my one of my favorite songs! I was so mad....but hey, at least I got to see it. Anyone going to see anything soon? -Tea_House_Moon
actress10105- Practice, Practice, Practice! A paragraph can be long, but if you really memorize and get into character, you won't mix them up! In my theater class we had to memorize 2 sentences in 3 minutes and say them infront of the class, and for me I would read one sentence like, 5 times each and then put my paper down. I would see if I could remember it, and If I did, I would go on with the next sentence. Hope I helped! -Tea_House_Moon
Ballet Dancer- Thanks for the tip! I hate the feeling of suffocating at an auditions! Doesn't feel like your heart went up to your throat. Anyway, I was pretty upset about only taping the curtain call, but the party ended up being fun anyway! We went outside and played improv. games, then signed everyone's shirt! -Tea_House_Moon
I haven't done any plays since December, although I recently got accepted into a really prestigious studio, so I'll be very busy with that. Plus, there weren't any open casting calls for kid roles lately, but, Summer is coming up and that's like the "Pilot Season" for local theatres (around here) so I'll be auditioning a lot this summer.
