HEY EVERYONE. I DON'T LIKE TOO GLOAT CUASE IT IS RUDE BUT EVERYONE I KNOW SAYS I AM THE OVERALL BEST PERFORMER EVER. THEY SAY I NEED TO GET AN AGENT. SO RIGHT NOW MY DAD IS MY AGENT. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH BEING AROUND PEOPLE. I AM VERY OUT GOING AND I BELEIVE I AM THE BEST . BUT I THINK EVERY ONE HERE THINKS THAT. TOODLES
Hey bsggirls07, No problemo I'm happy I could help! Do you like acting or singing more? I know it's a random question LOL ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Toodles,BooButterfly
My favorite role was definately now, in Alice in Wonderland, I'm the Cheshire Cat. It's my favorite role because I don't go asking for leads because I know that everyone wants them, and I usually get a small part and stick it out, unlike some other kids, who quit. But I know that there are only so many parts, and loads of talented people trying out. I was very lucky to get that opportunity, (though I have been in lots of plays before NYC training), because my director knows that I can handle it.
rentluver, i'm not in high school either, i just say "our" because its in the school district! and our middle school is doing les miserables next year! and this time when i say our i mean MY school!!! oh and by the way it IS heaven!!!!! xoxo shoopalulu
broadway spaz08 i have been the lead in over 50 plays i lik efilm acting better though i have been doing it since i was 6. i would really want to play meave i look and act just like ttyl
dancerqtpie24, Well openeing night is May 13 (AHHHHHHHH! HAHAHA) The version we are doing isn't a musical unfortunantly But it is still good! O O, BooButterfly P.S. get it (kiss like x) O HAHA
shopalulu, that sounds like heaven i am so jealous! omg i love phantom of the opera!! ugh i am soooo jealous! our high, im not in high school im in middle school, but they did les miserables and eveyrone said it was better than the broadway verison too!
BooButterfly, Thanks! I like your name too! What does it mean? Also the play i just finished was called Fairy Talevision. Good Luck with your show when is the opening night?
I live in a town where acting is EVERYWHERE!!! it's really close to manhatten so professional actors live here. there are tons of theaters and acting camps and school plays and workshops! it's awesome. especially for someone who loves acting as much as me. also, our highschool was one of the FIVE chosen in north america to perform phantom of the opera. and people say it was better then the broadway version!!!
Dear dancerqtpie24, Yah right now I am in a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Actually I am Willy Wonka! LOL! What was the play you just finished? Toodles, BooButterfly
Dear everyone, You are so lucky. I have no plays at my school. I am deprived. I want to play a lead character. Your friend, michellerocksout P.S.From what you know about me, what lead character do you think I should get in any play.
ROFL u know what a really fun way 2 improve ur acting skills is?!...
ROFL my bf and i just got off the phone, and u know how in the old romance movies they say like 'oh, my dear' and stuff, well we were doin that and crackin up it was hilarious! -i posted a conversation we had in the sleepover club if ur interested! ROFL its soooooooo funny!
boobutterfly, im so glad were friends. i have seen lots of your comment in Maeve's fan mail page. But maybe that's someone else. Also are you currently in any plays? I just finished one and in June I will start another. Also in July I will do another.
Has anyone ever done the shows ANNIE, Fiddler on the Roof, GREASE or Music Man? I have done ANNIE (as Rooster the 1st time Lily the 2nd time), GREASE as Sandy and Mrs. Paroo in Music Man. And I am in reshersel for Fiddler on the roof as Hodel. I have also done Sharpey in High School Musical, Ti Moune in Once on this island, The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods,Mrs. Paroo in Music Man, Cosette in Les Miz, Penny in Hairspray, Belle in Beauty and The Beast, Dorthey in Wizard of Oz, and a bunch of other things! -Broadway.Spazz.08
I like acting but I prefer singing. I do both everyday. I had a solo last year @ first baptist church of orlando. It was really scary. Advice 4 other people that get stage fright, take deep breaths, close ur eyes and just relax.
hermione23, lol sorry i didnt finish adding my comment and i accidently clicked the button! anyway, so i can get a bigger part in plays well i'll keep ya posted on how im comin, thanx!
hermione23, well theres 2 main characters, a boy and a girl-i have the girl main character lol well of course her names Betsy, lol and the other boys name is Sam but then theres the leader, which is her friend, and he's like a leader of a patriotic parade and we talk 2 him like through the whole thing so we kinda are all main characters-i've never really been a main character before, they usually always make me sing cuz i can pretty good, lol, so im really excited 2 show them i can act 2 so that when i get in the older class, which does really long plays and stuff, i'll hopefully get a big part
Thanks for the tip, it helped a lot. The play is over now, and I'm kind of sad, but it's ok. I'm just happy that I can do stuff on Saturdays now (rehearsal was on Saturday for me before). Thanks again!
wizkid52, Thats cool that your the costume designer!! Well I am Willy Wonka (even though I'm a girl) in a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!! Our school's drama department is awesome in fact we went to a HIGHSCHOOL to see a play and our JR. HIGH is like 1978243876461829437 times better! LOL!
OMG! it's the last wk. of rehersals for Alice in Wonderland, I'm sooo pcyched! I'm the Cheshire Cat, who serves like a narrator/character in the show, but I'm also the costume designer for the show, so I'm going to freak out this week, with all of the commotion. Next year, my director is doing HSM 2, and possibly Willy Wonka. How cool is that?
Okay, if you've ever been in a show, click the heart, and address your comment to me, telling me which part you've been in what show.
Hi Maeve, WeLL, I get a little nervous, but I just breath easily and remind myself that I'm doing something that I really love.I'm hoping to get into some drama this summer besides making home movies.Pray for me that God will use me in future films. See you in Hollywood, Maeve.
BooButterfly, Sure! I would love to be friends! Sorry for getting back so late I forgot I had written a comment in this club. But you can also talk to me in the Advice Club where i post lots of comments!
angel_1295, yeah... Do you know the Steven Curtis Chapman song "Cinderella"? It is so amazing! And about the play, just practice, practice, practice! Get a friend or family member to help you as much as possible! In your spare time, read over the script over, and over, and over again! You should read the whole story so that you know when to come in, and pay attention to other peoples lines, because you must know your cues to come in! And it's not only about the dialougue! You have to know your blocking too! You have to know where to move at the right times! And remember, if anyone tells you to be yourself, ignore them! The whole point is to be somone else!
Hey bsggirls07, I have advice on how to help butterflies. Ok it will sound weird but for me if you breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose it helps calm you down. Good luck with the play!
hermione23 and Miss Drama Queen, thanx 4 the advice! a ton, lol! hermione23, um lol im not sure i'll check and get back with you on that-i know its patriotic, lol! Miss Drama Queen, well, good luck! i know you'll do good!
dear angel_1295, just take it a few lines at a time. Memorize 5 lines, then repeat. Then memorize the next 5, and repeat all 10, etc. etc. btw, what is the play ur in called? ~hermione23 p.s. good luck! u can do it!
here are all the shows i hav done so strap on you seatbelts theres a lot!!!
The Wizard of Oz Lil' Abner Bye Bye Birdie Godspell Summer At Sea Mystery Today The Nativity What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up? Fairy Talevision WOW The Universe and i have been in 7 Christmas pageants but i cant remember there names also i have been in a few dance recitals

Hairspray Wicked Beauty and the Beast
I have also seen 2 New York City Ballets
ppps i think u get that i do a lot of theatre!!!!!!!!!! hee hee
angel_1295, I know how you feel. My advice would be to read the script over & over whenever you hav the time. I'm the lead in a play and i only hav another week out of 2. hope it helps! Miss Drama Queen
who wants to be my friend in bsg.com?? i dont really have any yet. it would be great if we could chat i go on about every day or every other day. xoxo me
Got a play coming up this week, and I'm pretty nervous. I don't have any lines, but I'm nervous, anyway. The play is about the 80s (fun, even though I wasn't born in the 80s ) and some of the dances are really hard. Any tips on how to remember dances, and how to not be nervous? Please reply ASAP, cuz the play is comin up! Thanks!
~bsggirls07 (the younger bsggirl )
P.S. I know that I posted this before, but no one replied . Please reply, cause I need my BSG fan support and help!
dramaqueen333, aaaaaa COOL!!!!! lol i can barely go high, but i can go pretty low-im 12 and my mom sings an octave below me when my family sings, but i can sing her part (an octave lower than i normally sing!!!!) without 2 much trouble!!! lol its so fun 2 sing! my bf loves it when i sing lol so once i had 2 sing for a school play and some people taped it and put it on the internet-well, he goes 2 that site a lot 2 listen 2 it, LOL i think its sooo funny
ok, um i have one of the 2 lead roles in a musical and we are doing it in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS and we start practice MONDAY!!!!! our play is a week from friday-i dont have a LOT of lines to memorize, but like 20-some. how do i memorize them really fast? cuz we aint allowed 2 use scripts the last week of practice, and i dont even have the script yet-i wont have it till monday!!!! so i'll have monday-friday 2 memorize my lines, then i have 2 say them by heart!!!! AAAAAAAAAA!!!!
OMG angel_1295! I am an alto too! I hate singing high! I am terrible at high, but pretty good at low! And that is onereason that I like that song too! But it's harder to sing the bridge!
Altos rock man! (Even though I have been second Soprano before)
Kaija1997- I know what you mean. It just depends on who you are working with (like the director.) Many of times I've been in a play where they have been biased and it was SO ANNOYING!!!
I USED to be into drama but now i don't like it because in my drama club they always pick the same people 4 tnhe roles! i just think it is a waste of time and energy. but that's my opinion not urs so go ahead cuz plays can be kinda fun!
Wow there are a LOT of altos! I my self am a soprano like MAJOR soprano I wish I could sing lower! But what's cool is I can sing anything of Jule Andrew's. Are there any other sopranos here? Toodles,BooButterfly

Angel_1295- Yay for altos!!!! Hmm...some songs for altos...in my opinion, lots of oldies hits (like from the 60's) are GREAT for altos. They can show off your voice without leaving you grasping for air. Also, if you really want to sing a song and it is just a tad bit out of range, ask someone (like a choir director) to see if they can lower the range. That helps A LOT!!!
who all's an alto? i am! i really like singing 'when there was me and you' (from HSM) because the range is like perfect for me-it gets a little high on the bridge, but i can get it ok. what songs do you alto's sing????
My class is putting on a play based on a creepy radio play called sorry wrong number and I got the lead!!!!!!!! I'm a bedridden invalid who ovrhears a murder plot, trys to get peoplle involved(no success) and at the end, I'm the one who's murdered by goons that my husband hired!
Broadway.Spazz.08- Totally with you on that one. G(a)linda has that nasal tone (plus she has to sing lots of high operetic notes-yikes!) I can sing MOST of Elphaba's songs. "I'm Not That Girl" is like, "The Audition Song" for me. I love that song just because it can show off vocals without blowing the judges out of their seats or making them go to sleep But when it comes to "No Good Deed"...yeah, I've broken a couple of vases! That's really cool that you got to play Elphie in a workshop!
Dear misssmartchick, OMG! Good luck! My school put on the play "Guys and Dolls" last year and my friend was Sister Sarah Brown! This year we're lending the costumes to another school near us! I hope it went/goes well! Write back and tell me! ♥hermione23♥
Tea_House_Moon- I could NEVERplay G(a)linda. She has a high singing voice, and she is short and small. I'm on the tall side..But Elphaba, I could do! I sing all the Elphaba songs in my voice lessons and I have played in Elphaba in a acting workshop! Broadway.Spazz.08
Broadway.Spazz.08- I know! I wouldn't really mind being Glinda either, just because she gets some of the comic relief (Popular, The whole Dancing Through Life scene with Fiyero) but Elphaba...is cooler (and gets to sing Defying Gravity and As Long As your Mine!!!)
Ugh, My weirdest role was I had to sing a song from Seussical called "Alone in the Universe" and I was JoJo (Aka a GUY!!!) I actually had to say the line, "I'm JoJo, the mayor's son." Lol, I was mortified!!! Oh, and when I was little I was in the Wizard of Oz and I was casted as Boq the munchkin! If any of you all have seen the musical Wicked, Boq is supposed to be a boy!!! I look back on that now and laugh though. OH! I had to play the Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach and my costume was made out of this weird material and I had no arms!!!
I love theater!!! My favorite shows to be in are things called Broadway Revues, where we all sing a variety of songs from...Broadway!!! I am at the theater magnet at my school, and I love doing improv! It's so much fun to see what you can think about at the top of your head! I would say for acting tips to always stay confident in yourself, but don't turn into an primadonna (aka thinking that you are the best and that you will always be the star). Also to never EVER be rude to the director. There was this one girl I knew that hated the role she got and she went to the director and whined that she didn't cast her in the right role. Let's just say she didn't get casted again. My dream role is to be either Christine in the Phantom of the Opera (even though I am an alto-yikes!) or Elphaba in Wicked. Toodles all my thespian buddies! See ya on B'way
Theuffansplusbsg- Thanks! I played Ti Moune in Once on This Island. I was really just hoping to make the show, as a story teller. But I got the role of Ti Moune, and when I did, I started crying. I have been acting since I was 4 so I want to be on Broadway so day!
Boobutterfly- I played the role of Rooster in the Musical ANNIE, and the girl who played Lily was 6 years older then me! ECK! So that was the weirdest role I have played!
Egirl226- I LOVE acting. I have done WAY more musicals and play though then I put. I also do dance (Swing, Jazz, Pre Pionte, Tap, Ballroom, acro and gymnatics) and voice lessons. And I am learning how to do film acting, though its not as fun as stage acting. If they EVER do a BSG movieI would LOOOOVE to be Charlotte. I look like her and my friend is always saying I could play her. My friend also said I should play Claire in The Clique movie, so she wants me to big movies..
BooButterfly! Mine is when I had to play a boy in a play called Fruitcakes! I had to play Charlotte the spider too! Except it wasn't a real play, it was just for fun!
Hey guys!! This is a funny question. What is the weirdest (or most random) role you have ever played? Mine has to be either Charlotte (a spider)in Charlottes Web or Willy Wonka (a guy!!) in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! LOL!! What is yours?
OMG, I've been in so many shows! Right now, I'm the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, and have been Jane in Jane and the Beanstalk, Fluff Duckling in HONK!, and I was in High School Musical last year. I've also done some acting classes in NYC. If the BSG ever decide to make a movie, they should definatly hold open auditions. CLICK THE HEART IF YOU AGREE!
broadway.spazz.08 i think we have a lot in common i was all thoose characters to except i have done more also i was annie in anie i did it three times i was dorthy in the wizard of oz maria in west side story and much more i can not think of. want to be online freinds
I love to act! I have been in plays ever since I could talk. All my life, whether in church, school, or my local college, I have had a major role in each play I perform. I just love the rush of being in front of the crowd, becoming one totally different person each time. The spotlight is my best friend! I don't care to be me. I am a leader!
I LOVE THE SPOTLIGHT . IM KNOW JOINNING A DRAMA THAT WEAVE WILL HAVETO PRESENT IT SOON ..I LOVE IT WHEN WE ARE PRACTISING.. AND I ALSO GET TO KNOW NEW FRIENDS ..BUT WHEN I THINK OF HOW CLOSE THE COMPETITION IS I JUST GET BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH..OH YAH ..I ALWAYS WANTED A LEADING PART AND NOW I GOT IT ,BUT IM AFRAID I MIGHT GET LL IT TO PULL IT OFF.. EVERY ONE SEEMS TO HAVE SO MUCH FAITH IN ME ..WHAT SHOULD I DO???
What roles have you guys played in musicals and plays. I have been Sharpey in High School Musical, Ti Moune in Once on this island, The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, Pepper in Annie, Lily in Annie, Mrs. Paroo in Music Man, Sandy in Grease, Cosette in Les Miz, Penny in Hairspray and I am starting reshersels for Fiddler on The Roof where I am Hodel! Broadway.Spazz.08
Being a good actress doesn't mean getting the lead role. Even if you don't, you have to act like the lead. It shows that you really care about acting, so you might get a better role in your next play. Plus, it's good experience!
Dear broadway.spazz.08 i know a song its called tear drops on my guitar im also an alto and sang for an audition i was in the sound of music it ended sunday april6 and this wednesday april 16 im doing grease but theres only 1show for the som there wer 6. okay well bye!
Hey Everyone! I love acting so much! I have only been in two plays and I have only been a lead role once. But,I can only do one play a year! My parents said so. And they will not tell me why! How can I get them to let me do more plays??? Help!!!!!!!!!!
I am still getting my big break, though alot of people think i would already have it by now. I do mainly local stuff, and have been acting since I was 4. i have done Annie as Pepper, and another time as Lily. I have done Once on this island, Cinderella, Beauty and Beast, HSM. Does anyone have a good audtion song for a 12-13 girl who is a alto? i have a big audtion coming up and i updating my resume and trying to memorize 3 monologes right now for just ONE audtion, so i need help finding a song. It needs to be from a MUSICAL! Thax! Broadway.Spazz.08
Boo Butterfly, just practice, practice, practice! Practice makes prefect you know. lol I am so excited for you! You will do great! Just be you, and the will love it! Be confident! Good Luck!
heres a tip, u get distracted and worried if u think about people u know being in ur audition room. don't think about friends or family. jiust pretend u r alone singing to ur mirror or something. forget about the people. just be u!
Goodness no, not getting a part doesn't mean that you're bad at acting! I have tried out for, I don't know, five or six plays, and I have only been in three. You could have just been nervous, since I gather that it was our first audition for a play. Really though, not getting a part doesn't mean that you're bad. Actually, you kind of learn from not getting parts. Like now, if you audition for another play, you can sya to yourself, "Well, what did I do last time that I need to try harder on this time?" or something like that. Hopefully, I helped! Please respond back soon!
It's me, the younger sister of bsggirls07. In case you don't know already, my big sister and I share an account on here. Anyways, I LOVE to act. I have already been in three plays (may not seem like a lot, but it is to me) and I have some tips for all of you fellow actresses out there.
Tip #1- I was scared of singing in front of people at first, but I finally found something to help me. Imagine that one or two of your friends are in the room, and it's just them. You can sing as loud as you want to your friends, and that's what I do.
That's it for now. Sorry bout the long post, but I have lots to say! Please respond soon!
c131311, NO! even if u don't get into a play you could still be really really talented. i have a friend who didn't make the school musical one year and got the lead role the next year! some people just have a bad audition because they are nervous! so next time u try out, just pretend u r all alone in the room and belt it out! good luck!
I am the best actress. ( well my director says it) I have been the lead role in 13 nation wide productions!! I am loving it! I also sing at h** ( coffee shop)!!! I rock!! ( picture chicken heads if you get nervous)
Dear C131131, That doesn't mean that you aren't a good actress it just means that you weren't the actress for the role. Plus if you auditioned for a new drama troupe or if the directors don't know you that well they might just want to see if you are dedicated. Just have fun and Good Luck!
Dear home365, If you have a good voice, go try out for a musical or something. It would be a great way to tell everyone that you have a great voice, without actually saying it! If you wanna make yourself even better, voice lessons might be a fun thing for you to do.
Dear anyone!! I am going out for our community theatre but this year I am going to be in the highschool drama troupe!! I am soooo nervous because you show up at the audition and they hand you a script and sheet music, then tell you what they are looking for, sing the song and read the scrpt with you and then you go on stage and have to do it in front of EVERYONE!!! How will I be able to memorize a song and script that quickly and then audition in front of a ton of people I don't know? Someone please help me .
I am a good actress i have huge roles in all my plays i usually end up with the most lines but its okay cause i memorize things super fast and its okay because i just adore acting
OMG I JUST GOT A ROLE IN MY SCHOOL AS A MAIN CHARACTER mila try to read the book "music of the dolpins" i have half of my lines next and fashionluvr03 plz help!!!!!!!!11
I'm a really good singer. i;ve never told anyone because sometimes my voice would fail to be recognized by friends.i've been teaching myself to sing a long time now,and really hope it's worth it.
I am in a play called Seusical JR. right now. It's kinda like the movie "Horton hears a who." But with alot more music. IT's an operatic musical. I star as a purple bird girl. I wish i was pink!
Boo Butterfly, just get someone to help you! Read the script over, and over and over! Once you think you know them pretty well, get the person to read the other lines. You will find it really helpful if you know the other lines so that you know when to say yours. And someone helping you helps a lot too! Good Luck!
My school musical is sad basically, everybody sits at their places and when it's their turn they stand and say their lines. Then we stand up and sing songs. Oh and since it's a school musical the theme is bad too-it's the constitutional convention. SOOOOOOOOO boring.
Dear #1jobrosfan, I now i'm kinda late scince you already answered but i have some advice they are both musicals but HMS2 has more drama and scince drama club i thinck you should do that 1. But if you have bad singers @ your school I would do Haispray if their are bad actors and actresses then do HSM2 if not then don't listen 2 me. that's just my opinion
Calling all actresses! Someone famous is coming to my local theater! His name is Jeff Daniels! He was in these movies: RV Because of Winn-Dixie 101 Dalmations and a bunch of other things! How cool? I can't wait to se him!
to everyone who replied to my comment/question, thanx i'll definetly consider your opinions and tell my friends hsm2 and hairspray are both really good movies thanx #1jobrosfan
Hello fellow actors!!! LOL! I can't believe their is a drama club! Well I just got the role of Willy Wonka in our school's production of Charie and the Chocolate factory!!!!! But last year I was Charlotte in Charlotte's Web! (But Wonka is soooo much funner!) Toodles, BooButterfly
Hey I wanna be a actress but all I have done is go to a casting call for a movie called "year one" Jack Black is in it and I modeled dresses for a compney but thats it is there anyone here who can tell me a website or how I can get my acting carrer to take off ? HEY Fabulosinpink you had a little experiance can you tell me where you go or how you find the additions that would mean a lot to me
I have been in so many plays, starting when I was three in preschool. i have had a lot of leading roles. my newest play is about a movie audition and my character is millie clock, the assistant director.
Hey everyone! i live in Califonia now and am acting and i have been in 3 commericals! One when i was little(4 pampers!) LOL and a lip smackers and a dog food comercail. I forget what it's called LOL. Yo! Right now I am in the play, "The hiding place" and I am Prisoner 2![I named her Jenette!LOL!] There is this really cute dude who is in it with me and he is "The Snake" LOL!!!
Dear Maeve, I have done four plays at school and this year we are doing Oliver. I am in the main cast and play Old Sally the one who gives a big piece of information to Widow Corney. It so much fun.
I was in a commercial when we lived in California. But then we moved down here, to the middle of nowhere! It's all good though, check out the comment I left on the All About Maeve page!
I LOVE Shakespeare! Some people think he was a boring stick, but it's so cool! Especially the comedies. My favorite play is Twelfth Night. I got to be Viola! Any other Shakespeare buffs?
JBlue, I suggested this too! Don't you just love acting? I got the lead role in a play at my local theater near Christmas time! It was awesome! What about you? dramaqueen333
You should definitely do Hairspray, it's better than HSM. It would make a lotta people laugh if you made a boy as Enda Turnblad again!! Hairspray's way better, it's funnier!!
Right now, I am in " A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare. I am Moth-a service fairy. The preformance is on my B-day, which I am not too happy about.
Next year im gonna have to do a big play at school. This year there doing HSM,my grade wants to do HSM 2, some people wanna do hairspray, which one do you think we should do?
When I'm acting, if I get really nervous (which doesn't happen often), then I don't look at the audience. Period. I either look at my partner, if I have one, or at the back wall. Just my lil' tip!
(vegetarians rock, good job.) I LOVE ACTING AND EVERYTHING!! Tips on getting on a commercial: 1. Spot a large videocamera and a cool person using it. 2. Go up to the videocamera person. 3. Ask what he's doing. 4. Get answer. 5. Ask if you can be in it. 6. If he says yes, follow his directions!!!!!!
i was in fiddler this winter, and taming the wild wild west in a dress, this spring. last year i was in the best christmas pagent ever. trust me, if u want advice...i got plenty of it 4 budding actors or actresses (as some people like 2 call them) from auditions 2 opening nite, ive been through it all!
