Broadway.Spazz.08- I know! I wouldn't really mind being Glinda either, just because she gets some of the comic relief (Popular, The whole Dancing Through Life scene with Fiyero) but Elphaba...is cooler (and gets to sing Defying Gravity and As Long As your Mine!!!)
Ugh, My weirdest role was I had to sing a song from Seussical called "Alone in the Universe" and I was JoJo (Aka a GUY!!!) I actually had to say the line, "I'm JoJo, the mayor's son." Lol, I was mortified!!! Oh, and when I was little I was in the Wizard of Oz and I was casted as Boq the munchkin! If any of you all have seen the musical Wicked, Boq is supposed to be a boy!!! I look back on that now and laugh though. OH! I had to play the Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach and my costume was made out of this weird material and I had no arms!!!
I love theater!!! My favorite shows to be in are things called Broadway Revues, where we all sing a variety of songs from...Broadway!!! I am at the theater magnet at my school, and I love doing improv! It's so much fun to see what you can think about at the top of your head! I would say for acting tips to always stay confident in yourself, but don't turn into an primadonna (aka thinking that you are the best and that you will always be the star). Also to never EVER be rude to the director. There was this one girl I knew that hated the role she got and she went to the director and whined that she didn't cast her in the right role. Let's just say she didn't get casted again. My dream role is to be either Christine in the Phantom of the Opera (even though I am an alto-yikes!) or Elphaba in Wicked. Toodles all my thespian buddies! See ya on B'way
Theuffansplusbsg- Thanks! I played Ti Moune in Once on This Island. I was really just hoping to make the show, as a story teller. But I got the role of Ti Moune, and when I did, I started crying. I have been acting since I was 4 so I want to be on Broadway so day!
Boobutterfly- I played the role of Rooster in the Musical ANNIE, and the girl who played Lily was 6 years older then me! ECK! So that was the weirdest role I have played!
Egirl226- I LOVE acting. I have done WAY more musicals and play though then I put. I also do dance (Swing, Jazz, Pre Pionte, Tap, Ballroom, acro and gymnatics) and voice lessons. And I am learning how to do film acting, though its not as fun as stage acting. If they EVER do a BSG movieI would LOOOOVE to be Charlotte. I look like her and my friend is always saying I could play her. My friend also said I should play Claire in The Clique movie, so she wants me to big movies..
BooButterfly! Mine is when I had to play a boy in a play called Fruitcakes! I had to play Charlotte the spider too! Except it wasn't a real play, it was just for fun!
Hey guys!! This is a funny question. What is the weirdest (or most random) role you have ever played? Mine has to be either Charlotte (a spider)in Charlottes Web or Willy Wonka (a guy!!) in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! LOL!! What is yours?
OMG, I've been in so many shows! Right now, I'm the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, and have been Jane in Jane and the Beanstalk, Fluff Duckling in HONK!, and I was in High School Musical last year. I've also done some acting classes in NYC. If the BSG ever decide to make a movie, they should definatly hold open auditions. CLICK THE HEART IF YOU AGREE!
broadway.spazz.08 i think we have a lot in common i was all thoose characters to except i have done more also i was annie in anie i did it three times i was dorthy in the wizard of oz maria in west side story and much more i can not think of. want to be online freinds
I love to act! I have been in plays ever since I could talk. All my life, whether in church, school, or my local college, I have had a major role in each play I perform. I just love the rush of being in front of the crowd, becoming one totally different person each time. The spotlight is my best friend! I don't care to be me. I am a leader!
I LOVE THE SPOTLIGHT . IM KNOW JOINNING A DRAMA THAT WEAVE WILL HAVETO PRESENT IT SOON ..I LOVE IT WHEN WE ARE PRACTISING.. AND I ALSO GET TO KNOW NEW FRIENDS ..BUT WHEN I THINK OF HOW CLOSE THE COMPETITION IS I JUST GET BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH..OH YAH ..I ALWAYS WANTED A LEADING PART AND NOW I GOT IT ,BUT IM AFRAID I MIGHT GET LL IT TO PULL IT OFF.. EVERY ONE SEEMS TO HAVE SO MUCH FAITH IN ME ..WHAT SHOULD I DO???
What roles have you guys played in musicals and plays. I have been Sharpey in High School Musical, Ti Moune in Once on this island, The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, Pepper in Annie, Lily in Annie, Mrs. Paroo in Music Man, Sandy in Grease, Cosette in Les Miz, Penny in Hairspray and I am starting reshersels for Fiddler on The Roof where I am Hodel! Broadway.Spazz.08
Being a good actress doesn't mean getting the lead role. Even if you don't, you have to act like the lead. It shows that you really care about acting, so you might get a better role in your next play. Plus, it's good experience!
Dear broadway.spazz.08 i know a song its called tear drops on my guitar im also an alto and sang for an audition i was in the sound of music it ended sunday april6 and this wednesday april 16 im doing grease but theres only 1show for the som there wer 6. okay well bye!
Hey Everyone! I love acting so much! I have only been in two plays and I have only been a lead role once. But,I can only do one play a year! My parents said so. And they will not tell me why! How can I get them to let me do more plays??? Help!!!!!!!!!!
I am still getting my big break, though alot of people think i would already have it by now. I do mainly local stuff, and have been acting since I was 4. i have done Annie as Pepper, and another time as Lily. I have done Once on this island, Cinderella, Beauty and Beast, HSM. Does anyone have a good audtion song for a 12-13 girl who is a alto? i have a big audtion coming up and i updating my resume and trying to memorize 3 monologes right now for just ONE audtion, so i need help finding a song. It needs to be from a MUSICAL! Thax! Broadway.Spazz.08
Boo Butterfly, just practice, practice, practice! Practice makes prefect you know. lol I am so excited for you! You will do great! Just be you, and the will love it! Be confident! Good Luck!
heres a tip, u get distracted and worried if u think about people u know being in ur audition room. don't think about friends or family. jiust pretend u r alone singing to ur mirror or something. forget about the people. just be u!
Goodness no, not getting a part doesn't mean that you're bad at acting! I have tried out for, I don't know, five or six plays, and I have only been in three. You could have just been nervous, since I gather that it was our first audition for a play. Really though, not getting a part doesn't mean that you're bad. Actually, you kind of learn from not getting parts. Like now, if you audition for another play, you can sya to yourself, "Well, what did I do last time that I need to try harder on this time?" or something like that. Hopefully, I helped! Please respond back soon!
It's me, the younger sister of bsggirls07. In case you don't know already, my big sister and I share an account on here. Anyways, I LOVE to act. I have already been in three plays (may not seem like a lot, but it is to me) and I have some tips for all of you fellow actresses out there.
Tip #1- I was scared of singing in front of people at first, but I finally found something to help me. Imagine that one or two of your friends are in the room, and it's just them. You can sing as loud as you want to your friends, and that's what I do.
That's it for now. Sorry bout the long post, but I have lots to say! Please respond soon!
c131311, NO! even if u don't get into a play you could still be really really talented. i have a friend who didn't make the school musical one year and got the lead role the next year! some people just have a bad audition because they are nervous! so next time u try out, just pretend u r all alone in the room and belt it out! good luck!
I am the best actress. ( well my director says it) I have been the lead role in 13 nation wide productions!! I am loving it! I also sing at h** ( coffee shop)!!! I rock!! ( picture chicken heads if you get nervous)
Dear C131131, That doesn't mean that you aren't a good actress it just means that you weren't the actress for the role. Plus if you auditioned for a new drama troupe or if the directors don't know you that well they might just want to see if you are dedicated. Just have fun and Good Luck!
Dear home365, If you have a good voice, go try out for a musical or something. It would be a great way to tell everyone that you have a great voice, without actually saying it! If you wanna make yourself even better, voice lessons might be a fun thing for you to do.
Dear anyone!! I am going out for our community theatre but this year I am going to be in the highschool drama troupe!! I am soooo nervous because you show up at the audition and they hand you a script and sheet music, then tell you what they are looking for, sing the song and read the scrpt with you and then you go on stage and have to do it in front of EVERYONE!!! How will I be able to memorize a song and script that quickly and then audition in front of a ton of people I don't know? Someone please help me .
I am a good actress i have huge roles in all my plays i usually end up with the most lines but its okay cause i memorize things super fast and its okay because i just adore acting
OMG I JUST GOT A ROLE IN MY SCHOOL AS A MAIN CHARACTER mila try to read the book "music of the dolpins" i have half of my lines next and fashionluvr03 plz help!!!!!!!!11
I'm a really good singer. i;ve never told anyone because sometimes my voice would fail to be recognized by friends.i've been teaching myself to sing a long time now,and really hope it's worth it.
I am in a play called Seusical JR. right now. It's kinda like the movie "Horton hears a who." But with alot more music. IT's an operatic musical. I star as a purple bird girl. I wish i was pink!
Boo Butterfly, just get someone to help you! Read the script over, and over and over! Once you think you know them pretty well, get the person to read the other lines. You will find it really helpful if you know the other lines so that you know when to say yours. And someone helping you helps a lot too! Good Luck!
My school musical is sad basically, everybody sits at their places and when it's their turn they stand and say their lines. Then we stand up and sing songs. Oh and since it's a school musical the theme is bad too-it's the constitutional convention. SOOOOOOOOO boring.
Dear #1jobrosfan, I now i'm kinda late scince you already answered but i have some advice they are both musicals but HMS2 has more drama and scince drama club i thinck you should do that 1. But if you have bad singers @ your school I would do Haispray if their are bad actors and actresses then do HSM2 if not then don't listen 2 me. that's just my opinion
Calling all actresses! Someone famous is coming to my local theater! His name is Jeff Daniels! He was in these movies: RV Because of Winn-Dixie 101 Dalmations and a bunch of other things! How cool? I can't wait to se him!
to everyone who replied to my comment/question, thanx i'll definetly consider your opinions and tell my friends hsm2 and hairspray are both really good movies thanx #1jobrosfan
Hello fellow actors!!! LOL! I can't believe their is a drama club! Well I just got the role of Willy Wonka in our school's production of Charie and the Chocolate factory!!!!! But last year I was Charlotte in Charlotte's Web! (But Wonka is soooo much funner!) Toodles, BooButterfly

Yo! Right now I am in the play, "The hiding place" and I am Prisoner 2![I named her Jenette!LOL!] There is this really cute dude who is in it with me and he is "The Snake" LOL!!!
Dear Maeve, I have done four plays at school and this year we are doing Oliver. I am in the main cast and play Old Sally the one who gives a big piece of information to Widow Corney. It so much fun.
I was in a commercial when we lived in California. But then we moved down here, to the middle of nowhere! It's all good though, check out the comment I left on the All About Maeve page!
I LOVE Shakespeare! Some people think he was a boring stick, but it's so cool! Especially the comedies. My favorite play is Twelfth Night. I got to be Viola! Any other Shakespeare buffs?
JBlue, I suggested this too! Don't you just love acting? I got the lead role in a play at my local theater near Christmas time! It was awesome! What about you? dramaqueen333
You should definitely do Hairspray, it's better than HSM. It would make a lotta people laugh if you made a boy as Enda Turnblad again!! Hairspray's way better, it's funnier!!
Right now, I am in " A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare. I am Moth-a service fairy. The preformance is on my B-day, which I am not too happy about.
Next year im gonna have to do a big play at school. This year there doing HSM,my grade wants to do HSM 2, some people wanna do hairspray, which one do you think we should do?
When I'm acting, if I get really nervous (which doesn't happen often), then I don't look at the audience. Period. I either look at my partner, if I have one, or at the back wall. Just my lil' tip!
(vegetarians rock, good job.) I LOVE ACTING AND EVERYTHING!! Tips on getting on a commercial: 1. Spot a large videocamera and a cool person using it. 2. Go up to the videocamera person. 3. Ask what he's doing. 4. Get answer. 5. Ask if you can be in it. 6. If he says yes, follow his directions!!!!!!
i was in fiddler this winter, and taming the wild wild west in a dress, this spring. last year i was in the best christmas pagent ever. trust me, if u want advice...i got plenty of it 4 budding actors or actresses (as some people like 2 call them) from auditions 2 opening nite, ive been through it all!
