Hola chicas!

Isabel here. One of the best things about junior high is that you finally get your own locker! And it's so much more than just a place to store your stuff. At the beginning of every school year, I like to think of my empty locker as a blank canvas. Here are some easy decorating tips to make your locker look as artistically-inspired as mine:

Pick a theme. Are you into sports (like Avery), fashion (like Katani), stars (like Charlotte), or something else equally cool? Use decorations in your locker to go with your special interest! For example, I helped Charlotte cut out stars from silvery paper, and she used magnets to put them all over the inside of her locker. Instant night sky!

Put up pictures. If your school doesn't let you stick tape on your locker, you can use a corkboard with magnets on the back. (Definitely stay away from glue!) Include pictures of people, places, and maybe even pets who are special to you. Avery has the cutest pic of Marty in her locker!

Keep it tidy. No one will see your masterpiece if it's covered in clutter! I go through the pile of things in my locker once a week and throw away anything I don't need (like used gum wrappers—ewww!).

Instead on having my stuff just thrown everywhere, I hang it all around. The ceiling of my locker, on those little hooks. I had my school stuff nice and neat at the bottom, in the order of my class schedule. Then my jackets, backpack, scarfs and other stuff hanging from the hooks. My locker looked nice and cozy plus neat two.
For smell you could get a car air freshener and hang it or tape it somewhere inside.
And just it you need it, have a backup outfit there too. Just a shirt and jeans. That way whenever you need it, you can just pull in out.

OMG!!!!!! My locker is tiny! And, mot to be mean, but i think i deserve a bigger locker than the a 2 grader, seeing as i am in 6th grade!The only thing that i can fit in my locker is an empty backpack. Although, i totally stole charlottes idea of carying all of my stuff in a stylin tote, instead of a backpack! I love and i have gotten alot of compliments on it, and every once and a while, i compliment just make a good day that much better. But, back to the point, i wish my locker was bigger not only because i needto fit my backpack in it, but also, it is my home away from home, so i would like to be able to put cool locker do-dads in it, but nothing will fit! Oh, and some ways to keep your locker fresh and clean are listed below
1.keep a small container of your fave perfume in your locker and every time it starts to smell a little funky, spray some and it will be all better
2.Clean out clutter that collects in your locker 2 times a month, so you dont have sandwiches from september rottenig in your locker!
3.If you get home sick easily, keep a piece of a coforting item in your locker so you can use to make you feel better
4.It sounds wierd, but it is a good idea to bring a small container of cleaning supplies in your lockr, so if something spills, you can clean it up right away
5. and finally to make your lockerfeel more like home, hang small posters or picture in it, and keep an eye out for cool containers to keep your locker organized, so it is one less thing you need to stress about

Well, I'm really crafty and what me and my friends did is we got small gift boxes and I decorated them to match my locker theme and I found a corner and that is were I put all my trash.And to keep it smelling fresh I have some travel febreze that is really small so I just put that in there and when my locker starts smelling I just spray a little bit in my locker!! and I want to be in 6th grade so bad , I want a locker really! BUT IF i DID have a locker i would get a varry nice silky fabric and put it around every were (in my locker). id get picters of friends and put them on the fabric so the pickters would really pop . id never put food in there and id get boxes . what i mean by boxes i mean for diffrent stuuff like lunch money (ceep that 8in a seceret spot so that if someone gets in youer locker theyd wuldent find it ).
also get a plastic bag like from the store put it on a shelf so you can put trash in there if you need to . last but not least does it really stink when you bought youer home work but left it in youer locker when you where in class ? well my idea cacn solve that to take a little bord and stick it up on the door of youre locker and get thom tacks and make a check list so that though the weak you can check off home work preojects or eney thing thats importtitnt to you . and thats my oppinon on how to ceep thing claen , ogenized , and awesome. smilies/cheesy.gif

I suggest that you should go to a middle school, or the middle school that you're going to and have a look around. Get to know the air before you breathe it!

I'm a little nervous about going to middle school myself, my best friend and I are being separated from schools, so we won't be able to see each other around campus! I'll still be able to see her though! OK, anyway (sorry about that smilies/wink.gif

, unless the high school I'm planning on going to doesn't have them either! A locker is your own little dream land right in the middle of School City. Print out the New School Survival guide in Charlotte's print outs, if you haven't already, that'll help both of us! Also, be prepared for any drama, and rumors about you, just in case! Also, if there's any suspicious teacher, keep your eye out, I've heard some creepy stories about it, although I'm not sure if they're true. Be nervous, be prepared, be grateful, and be sad, because it's saying good bye to classroom partes and saying hello to "socials," otherwise known as dances! 	The best way to organize everything is to use a shelf. You almost double the amount of things you can stack inside. My friend's locker was really messy, then I let her borrow my extra shelf and it was neat as a pin!

airfreshiners that stick onto the side to keep it smelling fresh. and to keep it clean, keep a cup of pens/pencils, a garbage bag, a binder for all loose papers/notebooks,ect. and to remember your combination, write it down on a slip/piece of paper and then slip in in your pocket/backpack/bag. but dont label it "Abby's combination" otherwise, someone else can find it if you drop it and they can get into your locker.

	to dancerlova12, thats too bad you dont have lockers at your shcool, they are really great for developing your organization skills and also your stuff is less likely to get stolen like in cloakrooms. i go to a K-7 grade school and we can get lockers as early as 6th grade, but i wasnt lucky enough to get one until seventh.
