Isabel here. One of the best things about junior high is that you finally get your own locker! And it's so much more than just a place to store your stuff. At the beginning of every school year, I like to think of my empty locker as a blank canvas. Here are some easy decorating tips to make your locker look as artistically-inspired as mine:

Pick a theme. Are you into sports (like Avery), fashion (like Katani), stars (like Charlotte), or something else equally cool? Use decorations in your locker to go with your special interest! For example, I helped Charlotte cut out stars from silvery paper, and she used magnets to put them all over the inside of her locker. Instant night sky!

Put up pictures. If your school doesn't let you stick tape on your locker, you can use a corkboard with magnets on the back. (Definitely stay away from glue!) Include pictures of people, places, and maybe even pets who are special to you. Avery has the cutest pic of Marty in her locker!

Keep it tidy. No one will see your masterpiece if it's covered in clutter! I go through the pile of things in my locker once a week and throw away anything I don't need (like used gum wrappers—ewww!).

I not only clean out my locker every week i also clean out my binder because if ur binders r in ur locker when ur not using them and u have papers sticking out it's just like another way to mess up the locker. I have black fur on the inside of my locker so u could try that but put magnets on the back so u can use it every year unless ur locker is different sized each grade then just make a new one maybe give that one to a friend in that grade ur coming out of!!! smilies/smiley.gifsmilies/smiley.gifsmilies/smiley.gif

Hahahaa I have one of the neatest lockers actually! Some tips are:
1.) If you have a small locker like me , when you put your folders in (since I have 6) put 5 flip-flopped in! Then put the other folder on top! (Then set purse , backpack , etc. on top)

2.) If you have gym class.....make sure to take you clothes home and wash them then bring them bc smelling nice and fresh smilies/wink.gif

3.) To save space just get a big purse to store extra things =]

1.whenever come to school come with freshner or something and spray it in the locker
2.when come to school if you have time clean youre locker with a tissue or something

I would suggest buying a trapper for your papers and things so you don't bring the wrong notes to the wrong subject. Also keep an emergency schedule handy in case you forget your classes! GOOD LUCK!

well my tips r: if your locker is messy go to it at recess and take everything out and sort thru everything and throw out old stuff and put everything else in a binder for each subject, also use a locker shelf and i put all my books on bottom and all my binders on top that way i have to get to my locker i just grab it and go.But when u come back make sure to put the book back on top and binder on bottom.

For me i feel that a tidy locker it a lovely locker! You don't need all the extra fluff. A few pictures of your friends and you will do just the trick! Or maybe even every Friday you organize your locker so that the next week you don't start your Monday to a messy hectic locker. This way it is a new week and you are ready to start it fresh and CLEAN! Just a tip!

For my locker I like to do something different every year. Decorate your locker in ways that tell about you, things that express who you are! For example, if you love sports, make a locker with soccers, b-balls, footballs, etc. If you're really girly, make your locker girly! There's so many unique ways a locker can look!

My locker was beautifully decorated with magnets holding pictures of friends and my dog. i bought a magnetic clock and a white board and if u open it it has a mirror and a tiny little shelf. also i put my class schedule and a theasaurus and dictionary in there so i would have one there if needed it. sadly i basicly dont have anything up anymore because the mean high schoolers pass my locker and punch it causing everything to come down. also they even broke the clock.im thinking of cleaning it all out one day this week and redecorating it in a way so nothing will brake. My locker is unique. I put some of my pictures of my friends and family (mostly silly ones because when I get a bad grade it cheers me up), I also like to kep magnets to post notices and a mirror. I might also keep a spare sweater just in case! Also clean your locker. Food disgusting. None of your friends will like to talk at your locker!!!

When school lets out take out all of the stuff from the previous week and take it home, so that when you come back to school on Monday you will be ready to go for the next week.

Organize all of your binders, that way no stray papers are lying around. The next thing is to throw out any food and or sugary drinks so they won't smell. Then when everyone is cleaning their locker, wash it down with some multi surface cleaner. That's how I keep mine sparkling clean!

What I do to keep my locker oranganized.

Every semester, I skip lunch and my friends and i have a picnic in the hallways while cleaning out our lockers together. It's super fun, and with help from your friends, its easy!

What I do to keep my locker smelling good.

I bring my gym clothes home very friday and bring them back monday. I also never leave food in my locker. And If my locker ever smells really bad, i get my friends ferbreez out (shes really into keeping her locker smelling good). NEVER put a car air-frenshener in your locker! I did that once last year, and i lost the airfreshener in a day!

Use air freshener. Some lockers can collect odors even if u keep it tidy. There are a couple of good air fresheners, like Febreeze. Try it. Soon your locker will be good as new!

On the first day of school measure your locker. Then get SOFT fluffy fabric from the craft store, and tape/magnet it up to the inside of your locker. Then get an air freshener and hang it up. Then have a mirror on the inside door with a small bin below it. In that bin keep lip gloss, safety pins (for clothes) a brush, deodorant, tide stick (for stains),whatever. Then have a mini white board to write notes and reminders on. Maybe a cork board for pictures. Make cool pins for the clipboard by sticking stuff on tacks. If you can decorate the outside of it, try the same thing as the inside walls. OR get magnets or those little jelly stick on things! OK these are just some random ideas!

Hey everybody!!
Something that you should try to do if and when your locker gets dirty, is that you should just take a baby wipe(yes, a baby wipe, but not a used one) and just scrub with it on the certain spot that is dirty, or if your locker is dusty or dirty everywhere, take a few wipes, and simply wipe everywhere your locker is dirty. my schools woodshop class sells really cool shelfs to put in your locker. it helps me keep my locker clean! there only $5! its two pieces of wood on the side of the locker then a third piece rests ontop of the two side pieces, so its a shelf thats easy to put up and take down, no nails or glue or anything!!!

Well i already decorated my locker. here are my tips:

1. Keep it clean
2. Stack everything in order. Maybe putting all things you need first period first and second period second and soo on.... Maybe you can get a locker stacker thing.
3. decorated like its your personal small house
4. have sum combination of colors like baby blue and pink. black and red. orange and yellow or yellow and green.
5. maybe you can cut up your old stylish t-shirt and use it as a backround.

Oh and remember don't do things that your freinds tell you to do that you don't like. don't let them force you. add your own personality in it, your own flavor, your own taste! My advice to all you BSGs out there is to express yourself in your locker! Thousands of kids are going to be walking by your locker 24/7 all day, wanting to see what it looks like inside. You definately don't want them to think of you as a locker slob! Trust me, I have seen thousands of messy lockers every day. It's not a pretty sight! So what I would do if I were you is to make your locker unique and creative. Put a colorful background on the inside of your locker door, whether it's fabric or card stock. Whatever the background is, make it your color. I prefer to use hot pinks, lime greens, turquoise blues, bright yellows, etc. After that's done, put up your things that represent who you are. Maybe tape up the Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana, or maybe a picture of you and your friends. It doesn't matter as long as it's unique and fashionably fun. Once you do this, your name will be no longer on the locker slob list, and you might just inspire other kids to vamp up their locker as well. Just remember to organize your locker every now and then to give it that clean feeling. Maybe even add a car scent in your locker! Hope my advice works for you chicas! I love my locker and it is clean, but it's only 5 inches wide! They are also really tall! Barley anybody can reach he top shelf. I keep my locker clean by puting one shelf for pencils, marckers, exc. Another shelf is for my notebooks, my calculator, and a water bottle. On another shelf, I keep my books. On the last shelf, I keep my backpack. (I carry a binder with my notebooks.) I also don't leave any sweatshirts in my locker. (That's how your locker gets jammed, and smelly.) On the door of my locker, I just have a mirror, my scedual, and a few of my favorite magnets.

That's how I keep my locker clean.

From the beginning of the year to the end, have a space for your books first of all, and then fun stuff for you in extra spaces. It is a locker for school not a place for you to live so it doesn't need everything you need to survive in it. Just your books. Take your gym clothes home for a wash frequently and it should smell pretty good, and wipe it with a wipe every now and then to make it sparkle!

My locker has many stray papers but I usually throw them away when I can. I also havea mirror and hairbrush for when I have knots or a bad hair day. Just in case I always have an extra gym shirt and sweatshirt for an emergency! smilies/wink.gifIt's also a great idea to keep any noebooks you've already filled out with assignments so you can always refer to it if your teacher says something is missing. This could also work with single papers and a pocket folder you can keep in there or your backpack! smilies/smiley.gif

ok so our lockers are really big this year so i have room to fit all this stuff that i'm about to tell you that is in my locker:

i have a mirror, notepad, whiteboard/bulliten board, mini calender, 6 marker for the whiteboard, pencil pouch, picture frame, tacks, cute speech bubble magnets, clippy magnet (really handy), and i think that that's it. (there all magnetic by the way)

also i have an air freshener that smells really good.

so anyway its really cute hope you consider puting this stuff in your locker.
oh and isabel you and katani are my favorite bsg

The guy who has a locker next me left a sandwich in his locker over thanksgiving vacation. The janitor had to spray his and my locker to get rid of the ants. It stunk so to make it smell better I cut out a flower out of cute scrapbook paper and sprayed it with a little bit of perfume. I strung it on a ribbon and instant air freshener. It really works! smilies/smiley.gif

Just so everybody knows, if you can't have or get a white-board thingy, dry-erase markers come off of the insides of lockers! That's what me and my friends do! Oh, and if there's permenent marker on the inside of your locker, take a dry erase marker, scribble over it, and erase the dry-erase marker! The permanent marker should come right off with it! Oh, and one more thing: If dry-erase marker fumes give you headaches and are not allowed, try scented markers! Yummy! smilies/cheesy.gif

I don't have a locker, but i have some cool ideas!
Buy a mini calender and post your due-dates, and events there
Get a mini bulletin board for pictures, notes and reminders ( alternative for notes, whiteboard)
Put in an extra pair of clothing ( sweater, shorts) in case you get mud splattered all over your new top!!!
Buy mini organizers for pens, penicils, erasers etc. Just for emergencies, make sure you have mints, lip gloss and lotion

A way I decorated my locker is adding a place to put pens and pencils. I made it myself from a papertowel roll and felt. I cut a little opening by about 3/4 of the way leaving a back, covered it in felt and then put on magnet, PRESTO! smilies/grin.gif

i have shelves 4 my locker so i can keep my books organized. u can buy shelves at school supply stores like office max or CVS pharmacy. they help a lot! and u can also get little organizers 4 pens, pencils, etc. with magnets attatched.

i have a locker at mi school, and lots of people decorate them. 4 mi BFF birthdays it put wraoping paper on them and i sprinkled confetti inside. i organized mi books at the bottom, adn i keep a roll of wrapping paper in it, just in case i 4get a birthday. i have a bunch of pink office stuff on the top, and all my random stuff goes on the shelf. i use a bag, not a backpack so its not too stuffed. and i always have lyk 3 mini sprays in my makeup bag, so it always smells good. and luckily at my school we have full length lockers, not the half ones, so all mi friends share, depending where our classes are.

lockers shouldnt be a big deal. when i was in 5th grade i was so excited and then i realized that i was at my locker for a split second EVERY DAY and you never even have time to like care about it being decorated so...dont stress its not that fun...to all the kids who are getting lockers.

all i do is keep a vitamin water in my locker (dragon fruit) of coarse and i just put my books in it. for my birthday my friends decorated my locker. that was in the begining of the school year...and its still up. nobody tore it down because i'm in this corner row thing that nobody walks by. then in the inside i have posters (hsm 2) (not that i'm a big fan) then i have a picture of my friends in that picture thing you can do at the mall i of coarse keep A LOT of makeup in my locker to!
