Hola chicas!

Isabel here. One of the best things about junior high is that you finally get your own locker! And it's so much more than just a place to store your stuff. At the beginning of every school year, I like to think of my empty locker as a blank canvas. Here are some easy decorating tips to make your locker look as artistically-inspired as mine:

Pick a theme. Are you into sports (like Avery), fashion (like Katani), stars (like Charlotte), or something else equally cool? Use decorations in your locker to go with your special interest! For example, I helped Charlotte cut out stars from silvery paper, and she used magnets to put them all over the inside of her locker. Instant night sky!

Put up pictures. If your school doesn't let you stick tape on your locker, you can use a corkboard with magnets on the back. (Definitely stay away from glue!) Include pictures of people, places, and maybe even pets who are special to you. Avery has the cutest pic of Marty in her locker!

Keep it tidy. No one will see your masterpiece if it's covered in clutter! I go through the pile of things in my locker once a week and throw away anything I don't need (like used gum wrappers—ewww!).

	buy a little magnetic bulletin board and stick it in ur locker. u can tack photos, reminders,notes,anything(long as its small enuf) 2 ur board. hope i helped!

I think that Betsy (a girl in Isabel's class) mhas a good point on staying orginized and thinking ahead. I bet her locker is like this, too! Although, Avery may need a little help. She is having trouble shoving her skateboard in there! It's a miracle it accually fits! smilies/cheesy.gif

My locker has many stray papers but I usually throw them away when I can. I also havea mirror and hairbrush for when I have knots or a bad hair day. Just in case I always have an extra gym shirt and sweatshirt for an emergency! smilies/wink.gif

It's also a great idea to keep any noebooks you've already filled out with assignments so you can always refer to it if your teacher says something is missing. This could also work with single papers and a pocket folder you can keep in there or your backpack!

ok so our lockers are really big this year so i have room to fit all this stuff that i'm about to tell you that is in my locker:

i have a mirror, notepad, whiteboard/bulliten board, mini calender, 6 marker for the whiteboard, pencil pouch, picture frame, tacks, cute speech bubble magnets, clippy magnet (really handy), and i think that that's it. (there all magnetic by the way)

also i have an air freshener that smells really good.

so anyway its really cute hope you consider puting this stuff in your locker.

	The guy who has a locker next me left a sandwich in his locker over thanksgiving vacation. The janitor had to spray his and my locker to get rid of the ants. It stunk so to make it smell better I cut out a flower out of cute scrapbook paper and sprayed it with a little bit of perfume. I strung it on a ribbon and instant air freshener. It really works!

Just so everybody knows, if you can't have or get a white-board thingy, dry-erase markers come off of the insides of lockers! That's what me and my friends do! Oh, and if there's permenent marker on the inside of your locker, take a dry erase marker, scribble over it, and erase the dry-erase marker! The permanent marker should come right off with it! Oh, and one more thing: If dry-erase marker fumes give you headaches and are not allowed, try scented markers! Yummy! smilies/cheesy.gif

I don't have a locker, but i have some cool ideas!
Buy a mini calender and post your due-dates, and events there
Get a mini bulletin board for pictures, notes and reminders ( alternative for notes, whiteboard)
Put in an extra pair of clothing ( sweater, shorts) in case you get mud splattered all over your new top!!!
Buy mini organizers for pens, penicils, erasers etc. Just for emergencies, make sure you have mints, lip gloss and lotion

	A way I decorated my locker is adding a place to put pens and pencils. I made it myself from a papertowel roll and felt. I cut a little opening by about 3/4 of the way leaving a back, covered it in felt and then put on magnet, PRESTO!

	i have shelves 4 my locker so i can keep my books organized. u can buy shelves at school supply stores like office max or CVS pharmacy. they help a lot! and u can also get little organizers 4 pens, pencils, etc. with magnets attatched.

i have a locker at mi school, and lots of people decorate them. 4 mi BFF birthdays it put wraoping paper on them and i sprinkled confetti inside. i organized mi books at the bottom, adn i keep a roll of wrapping paper in it, just in case i 4get a birthday. i have a bunch of pink office stuff on the top, and all my random stuff goes on the shelf. i use a bag, not a backpack so its not too stuffed. and i always have lyk 3 mini sprays in my makeup bag, so it always smells good. and luckily at my school we have full length lockers, not the half ones, so all mi friends share, depending where our classes are.

	lockers shouldnt be a big deal. when i was in 5th grade i was so excited and then i realized that i was at my locker for a split second EVERY DAY and you never even have time to like care about it being decorated so...dont stress its not that fun...to all the kids who are getting lockers.

all i do is keep a vitamin water in my locker (dragon fruit) of coarse and i just put my books in it. for my birthday my friends decorated my locker. that was in the begining of the school year...and its still up. nobody tore it down because i'm in this corner row thing that nobody walks by. then in the inside i have posters (hsm 2) (not that i'm a big fan) then i have a picture of my friends in that picture thing you can do at the mall i of coarse keep A LOT of makeup in my locker to!

how to keep ur locker clean is by putting the thing u need ex: magnets,mirror,shelf and wat ever else u need. i have full locker so i have tons of room to put my stuff but i keep it has neat has i can. and another u can do is if u have like a 5min break in btween class. for the 1st 2 classes take the stuff that u need and thaen and whenit's break or wat ever prepare for the other classes

i love my locker i go to a school majored i nthe arts ALL kind sof arts im into dancing and im in grade 7 but my school wants to express your self! so we get to paint inside and outsides of our lockers mines pink! and inside its black with gold stars and in each one i write the name of one of my favorite and famous dancers even tho i major in hip-hop i have ballerinas and stuff and it smells citrus beacause of this perfume i have has a hint of tangerine and theyres a big pic of the hip-hop crew!and my binders and books are in the order of my classes and an events callendre incase of a dance-off and one of my friends paintings that she madew for visuel arts but i buy my lunch ant the sushi stand! so i have a place or money and my ipod stays at the back in these speakers and how could i forget this light that turns onn when you open the locker! so my advice is just kep it cute and organized with a spray of your FAVE perfume!

I have a locker, I use a locker shelf to organize things. I put my books and school stuff on the top of my shelf, and my lunch and backpack at the bottom.

I also have a mirror and a white board. If you need help decorating your locker, you should find something you are interested in,for example, If you like soccer, you could put soccer pix up. I am interested in ancient egypt and mummies, so I put up pix of Pyramids up.

	Keeping your locker clean is to put your stuff exactly the same and gently, smelling fresh, well just get a car freshner and hang it in your locker, get cute decorations, too and defently get a mirror. I am 11 so i am still in elementary it sucks but cant wait till i go to high school. these are tips i think are really usefull!

I am in 8th grade and thankfully this year I have a top locker. I love it. To keep it organized I have two locker shelves with my morning books on one and my afternoon books on the other. I have a thing on my locker door. It is a mirror, corkboard, and dry erase board all in one, its awesome. I write song lyrics or anything on the dry erase board, and tack memos to myself on the corkboard. Keep your locker nice and organized and you will be sure to get to class on time. smilies/cheesy.gif

At my school, there's a total of about 1600 kids, in 6th through 8th grade. So all of the lockers are about 8 inches wide & top to bottom , with one shelf at the top. My reccomendations for those kids who do have locker problems is to have a narrow organizer or white board, but you don't have to have one. They are fun! Try to organize your books and binders so they aren't jumbled around. If there are hooks for jackets & stuff, USE THEM! Try to use them to hang a bag with your gym clothes or your hat or jacket. Even a pencil case might work! Try to put the biggest, heaviest objects on bottom, lightest on top! Now I'm gonna stop, or else I may take up the whole page!
Just remember, once you organize, you can decorate!

My locker is soooo small, and I'm in junior high! My locker was way bigger when I was in 5th and 6th grade! I can hardly get a shelve in it and My dry erase board is in the back so I can't see it cuz I have to stuff all my books and back pack and my lunch box. I have noooo room in it at all. I don't have a lock on it because my schedule is so tight. I'll be late for art class, which is all the way on the other side of another building. It will be clean in about a week cuz I have to get all my books out and bring them home so I can do my work while i miss school to do the play! I'll decorate it then! Love the advice!

	i wlways put my books in THE ORDER OF MY PERIODS so i just take and go! then when you have locker break then you just put the books that you just used under all of the other books, and you take the ones on top! It all goes in order!!

	I don't have a locker yet but I still think these tips might hep: 1. Don't ever, ever put food, gum wrappers of candy in there. 2. Tidy it up when u r free(like during recess) 3. Arrange your books and stuff neatly inside. Put the important ones on top so that nothing will come tumbling when you want to take something out. 4. Don't pack too many things inside.
