Fashion Frenzy - Book 9

Katani has big news: "I'm going to New York to be part of a real, live fashion show!" But, will it be her dream come true, or a royal nightmare? Katani can only take one friend. How can she possibly choose? As the disasters keep coming -- from the highway, to the runway -- will the BSG come through to save the day?

Back home, a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts for three of the girls takes a creepy turn! Which is scarier -- a classmate cling-on or an Egyptian mummy?

The big cities certainly have some big surprises in store for the BSG. Will the girls be able to handle the world of swoony celebrities and unexpected stardom or is it all just too frenzied?

I just finished Fashion Frenzy. It was a great book but it almost seemed like a Special book instead of the regular series books. I thought it was sooo cool that Katani and Maeve got to go to a fashion show in NY. Some of the events seemed a little unrealistic though - I mean how many 12 year olds get to be on TV, model in a fashion show, and meet tons of celebrities?! One very lucky 12 year old I guess. I live in a really small town so stuff like that would never happen to me! smilies/sad.gif

Anyway, overall I enjoyed the book like I always do smilies/grin.gif

The whole Danny/Isabel thing was sort of random too. I think Izzy should have been a little more blunt to Danny. He obviously didn't get the hint. It's nice that she wasn't mean though. I just bought #10... I really want to read it NOW but I'm trying to wait a few days. It's so hard - I wanna read it now! smilies/cheesy.gif

If she's gonna be a Broadway superstar, let another BSG go! But then she convinced Mrs. Fields, and I think that Charlotte was right.
