Isabel can't believe what's happening to her... the IM gossip chain has gotten way out of control, and she's the target. Mean messages and whispering classmates are popping up in the strangest places -- including a certain Queen of Mean's away message. How did things get so out of control? This book was really good because it proves that when a person says something mean and then just adds "Just kidding", it still hurts the person. Isabel, you were very brave in this book, and Katani did a great job with helping to make the Spirit Parade for Kelley and all of her friends. I think that this was my favorite book in the whole, entire, comeplete, Beacon Street Girls series, because it proves that friends will stick by your sided through thick and thin!

Some people make themselves feel good by making others feel bad. It is sooo not the way to go. It could get way out of hand, like it did in the book. It's never a good idea to do anything to anyone else that you wouldn't want to be done to you. Sometimes saying something like that could ruin a friendship. Although the beacon street girls would never do anything to each other. This book really made me stop and think.

This book looks totally awesome! It sounds so much like a book I would love to read. I'm only on book 4 but, I am going to read the whole sereies. I love these books. When I went to Mexico I didn't go swimming in the ocean, instead I was reading the first book of this series. I can also relate to what is going on here. I have had some mean girls in school gossip about me also then say it's just a joke. I can't wait to read this book!

Even though I haven't read the book. It sounds total like me. I'm like nice to evrybody unless you get on my bad side. And then I hear stuff. And poeple say they didn't say anythign, hey right I'm not stupid. And actually today this 'poplaur girl' asked me if I think I should me in a honors class. I didn't really say anything. Than she's going to turn back to her friends and say " I don't think she's smart enough. I mean they cause half the trouble in the class and thier talking about me. I guess the only reason why I don't speak up about it is because I don't want to cause any trouble. But know I can't stand it. WHat am I supposed to do! And I have had a consuler but not like everyday. But this seems to happen every since I started public school(1st grade but it started more like 3rd).

oh, izzy in the book i felt really bad 4 you. i know how rumors can hurt. ity was back in fourth grade and my fam had just got a new place. we had just moved there so we didn't have beds and everything and 4 a little while we didn't have a t.v bcuz cable needed to be re-hooked up and we had 2 use a crok pot and mini-fridge until the people got our new stove, dishwasher, oven, and fridge hooked up. the bathroom also needed a teeny bit of work
done. [but not much]. so i was @ my freind's sleepover and my mom told her mom about what was going on at our place. i don't know HOW it happened, but somehow -- found out and she told our good freind -- who told all her freinds and soon everyone @ the sleepover knew and all of there freinds did, too and then it spread 2 half the school!!! i found out when i came in 1 morning and everyone was asking me about me about my house. i didn't know how all these people knew! everyone was taking about it and about how weird it was. i was so sad all these people knew my private biz and were thinking i was a weirdo! the whole thing was awful: i got into confrentations with my freinds, who swared they hadn't told anybody and i was so mad that they were lying 2 me bcuz it was obvious that they had!!! people were always whispering and talking when i walked by. it was awfull! things cooled down--- eventually. my house is in gr8 shape now-everyone who came by complimented on it-and my freinds r my freinds again. but i had a little chat with them about keeping things like that a secret. but it makes me sad when i think about it bcuz i still remember it like yesterday.

I loved to gossip about a year ago, but then this guy began to gossip about me and my friend working together on a Social Studies project. Thanks for writing and your support! Just Kidding is BSG book #10 -- it is about my recent adventures in cyber-space. Just Kidding is also what some kids say after they say something not so nice. When you get upset, they say "just kidding" and you feel foolish but it is really just another way for people to bully you. This book talks about one way to handle that problem.

poor Izzy! people can be so mean but Katani handled it well after the "bird skit" was over and charlotte FINALLY stuck up 2 jenifer when it mattered the most and Avery took her chances of having the sports voters off her side and Maeve conforted her unlike any friend ever can Izzy is lucky to have such great friends! but if it ever happens again tell katani's grandma and change your IM name and only let the other BSG, close friends (or ones you trust) and family know it!

Just Kidding was one of my favorite BSG books of all time! I can really understand how Isabel felt when she was hit with all the rumors because things like that have happened to me too. Rumors can be really vicious, but you have to remember that as long as they aren't really true, then you're just fine

I think that people who gossip and spread stories that are basically lies are wrong! There is nothing cool or fun about it, it's just plain mean! I'm glad that like Isabel, I have good friends to count on, and I know that everything will work out in time!

Gossiping isn't enough to make up a whole story about it. We all know gossiping is bad. There should have been a different main topic, and the whole gossiping thing should have been a seperate topic that had less written about it. Also, Isabel deserves to be on more covers. Charlotte's been on 5 covers, Katani on 5, Avery on 4, and Maeve on 5. Poor Isabel has only been on 2 smilies/shocked.gif

Well I've benn talked back behind my back. And had mean stuff said about me to. But once I heard I tottally talked behind her back worse than what she said about me. So I made her cry. I think that every girl should read this book!!!! I cant stand it when someone does/says something mean and then they cover it up and say "Just kidding! It was just a joke!" Jokes are supposed to be funny, and something mean and hurtful is not funny! I think that the mean people in this book got a taste of their own medicine in the end and everyone realized what spirit is really about!
