Isabel can't believe what's happening to her... the IM gossip chain has gotten way out of control, and she's the target. Mean messages and whispering classmates are popping up in the strangest places -- including a certain Queen of Mean's away message. How did things get so out of control? Everybody says they're "just kidding," but it's not funny at all. Someone is poisoning Spirit Week with her twisted lies. Drama overload! To top it off, Miss Pierce has mysteriously disappeared, and Charlotte is petrified that her friend is gone for good.
I thought it showed kids that gossip is not okay and it is just wrong and if you are not careful it will spread easily and get out to everyone and will be bad. Soon the person who the gossip is aboutwill hear and will be hurt. Never gossip.
I thought it was really good. It explains how gossip can hurt and if your not careful it will affect someone and it will get out and spread around like a chain. It is really not good.
Just Kidding was one of my favorite BSG books of all time! I can really understand how Isabel felt when she was hit with all the rumors because things like that have happened to me too. Rumors can be really vicious, but you have to remember that as long as they aren't really true, then you're just fine I think that people who gossip and spread stories that are basically lies are wrong! There is nothing cool or fun about it, it's just plain mean! I'm glad that like Isabel, I have good friends to count on, and I know that everything will work out in time! -Your Friend, Anna

I think they arn't kidding Isabel trust me and everybody we I mean my friends keep trying to tell this certain guy that I like him but I never let then so don't worry don't let those words hurt you like my dad always says *sticks and stones may break my bone but NEVER HURT MWORDS WILL E*(caps cause no way of under line)so just wipe all those words off and ignore them and if it gets wore feeling tell them you don't care-in a pep talk,a speech (just no vilonce)

I luv this book!! but, i feel so bad 4 u, Isabel. U got teased so badly.. I hv once expirience that and it was HORRIBLE !! I loved Just Kidding it is an awsome book!Très magnifque! they made a rule at school cause kids were joking around and people got hurt now u get a hour of detention!
I've never read the book but, I think it must be pretty bad for people to gossip about you. For me, people spread good things about me and my crush. I don't know why.

This book was OK. Gossiping isn't enough to make up a whole story about it. We all know gossiping is bad. There should have been a different main topic, and the whole gossiping thing should have been a seperate topic that had less written about it. Also, Isabel deserves to be on more covers. Charlotte's been on 5 covers, Katani on 5, Avery on 4, and Maeve on 5. Poor Isabel has only been on 2 Please write back !!!!!!!!!!

Well I've benn talked back behind my back. And had mean stuff said about me to. But once I heard I tottally talked behind her back worse than what she said about me. So I made her cry. After that I felt soooo bad! So I learned not to talk about people behind there back. But I tell how I feel to there face.

I loved this book! It is probably my favorite. Right after I read the book someone was being mean to my friend and after reading this book I knew what to do!
Just kidding flips my mind in a whole new direction towards rumors and friendships. This is a great book full of mixed emotions and what it feels like empathetically to be Isabel and to persevere to solve problems that are going on in her life.

Even though the gossip about Isabel bothered me ALOT, the part that I really hated about how people were acting in this book was when Jennifer was being mean to Charlotte. She seemed so nice, but I guess not. But I feel really bad for Isabel...and I just can't STAND the QOM!

It is so cool! I just finished it and it is amazing. When I first borrowed it from the library, I thought it would be boring but boy was i wrong! The book also showed just how bad gossip can be so i hope to be reading more in the future.

I think that every girl should read this book!!!! I cant stand it when someone does/says something mean and then they cover it up and say "Just kidding! It was just a joke!" Jokes are supposed to be funny, and something mean and hurtful is not funny! I think that the mean people in this book got a taste of their own medicine in the end and everyone realized what spirit is really about!
I read the book reely good my friends wanna borrow the book from me because they read the summary and think that its interesting......IT IS!!!!!! i LVOED THE SPEECH KGIRL MADE AT THE END AND WHEN KEELY TOLD EVERYBODY WHAT HER SPIRIT WAS. it was so cute.

This book was really good. It shows that when people are "Just Kidding" it is no lie. Some of the people just think that it is funny. I loved the end, when they made a speech and made a new rule and that "Just Kidding" is no joke.
