Friendship Scrapbook
Stuff You Need:Glitter, Glue, Magazines, Markers, Mementos, Pencils, Pens, Scissors, Scrapbook, Stickers, Paper, Photos, Tape Directions: 1. Choose a scrapbook Scrapbooks are sold at pharmacies, art stores, and even office supplies stores. It's important to choose a sturdy-looking book that won’t fall apart quickly. You want to have this forever! You can also build your own book from scratch. Use homemade paper for an artistic touch, or buy strong paper (NOT construction paper) from a store. To bind the pages together, three-hole-punch them evenly and either place them in a three-hole-binder or tie them between two strong pieces of cardboard with yarn, string, or ribbon. 2. Gather pictures and mementos Search your stuff for photos, movie stubs, old Red Sox tickets, business cards from favorite stores, recipes, and anything else that reminds you of cherished times or adventures you and your friends have shared! 3. Create scrapbook pages Arrange your items and photos on a page, then use glue or tape to secure them in place. Don’t forget to write a caption beneath each thing that explains what makes it special. 4. Cover with care and add fabulous flare Find a picture of you and your buds together, blow it up, and paste it on the cover. Or collage your favorite mementos on the front and back cover. You can preserve them with Mod Podge or a similar clear-drying adhesive that will save and add glaze to your precious pictures. Here are some great ideas for scrapbook pages that you can make with your friends! 1. Favorites Describe everything "favorite" about your posse. For example, favorite teams, restaurants, places to hang out, songs, things to do, memories … and anything else you can think of. 2. Express Yourself You and all of your friends each get an individual page to decorate with personal photos or little knick-knacks that illustrate who you are. Think about your hobbies, places you have been, pets, family, and colors that speak to your soul. You add something completely unique to your group of friends … now's your chance to show what that is and preserve it forever! 3. How We Met Every group of friends has a how-we-met story. Think about the BSG! Charlotte’s tablecloth-in-the-pants fiasco was legendary. Dedicate one page to how you found each other and add a few mementos as the icing on the cake. 4. Special Events Do you remember that crazy Halloween party? You know—when so-and-so dressed up like Jabba the Hutt? Put your heads together and recall the exciting events you attended and the funny things that happened there. 5. The Kitchen Sink There are no rules for the perfect scrapbook. Add whatever you want. Get creative. Remember, what makes your friends extraordinary is that there are no other girls in the world exactly like you … and your scrapbook should show it! |
