Meet a Model!

Hey girls! It's Katani. My new friend Peyton has modeled for many famous clothing stores and brands on the runway and in magazines, like the GAP, Diesel Jeans, Macy's, and Target. She also appears in the movie 27 Dresses as Katherine Heigl's younger self!

So, how did Peyton get such a cool gig and what does she love to wear OFF the runway? Read on to find out!

Katani Summers: Hey Peyton! We want to hear all about your fab modeling gigs. How did you get started in the modeling business?

Peyton: Before I was born, my mom used to model. When I was really little, after I saw all her pictures and she was telling me how much fun she had, I was like 'I really want to do it too!' That’s how I sort of got into the business. I was about two years old—really little!

Katani: What kind of modeling do you do?

Peyton: Well, I usually do like all of it. I really like runway shows. They're a lot of fun to me. I just did one for Macy's, and it was a lot of fun.

Katani: That's so awesome! What is a runway show like?

Peyton: Well, we usually do practices the day before, or maybe the day of, so you know what you’re going to do. Sometimes, everyone gets a little nervous because you look out and there are so many people out there! Once I get out on the runway, I'm like, 'I want to go again!'

Katani: That sounds like fun! Have you ever had any embarrassing moments on runway?

Peyton: You know, I haven’t, but I’ve been thinking in my mind, 'Am I going to fall or trip?!'

Katani: Do you have to wear shoes that are hard to walk in sometimes?

Peyton: They're usually easy to walk in, but I feel nervous for other people who are wearing these really high heels that they can barely walk in.

Katani: Yikes! You also do a lot of acting—like in the movie 27 Dresses! Do you feel that a lot of acting goes into being a good model?

Peyton: There is definitely a lot of acting, especially when you’re wearing a swimsuit in January! The other day, I was wearing a huge skiing outfit in July—that was funny!

Beauty Must-Haves: I really like Lip Smackers, especially their bubble gum flavor.

Hair Style: I go to dance classes a lot, so I usually wear it in a pony tail or in a bun or something like that. When I'm not dancing or anything, I usually wear it in pigtails or just down.

Fashion Taste: That's the cool part about modeling, because you get to see what is in fashion before it comes out. You get to like think, 'Oh yeah, I should try that.' I usually see a lot of kids stuff, and I’m like ‘Oh I can’t get that yet!' I’m so sad because I have to wait a few months or something.

Favorite Piece of Clothing: I really like my dresses. I just, I’m like in love with them. I like the sparkles and poofiness!
