Look online also because most of the time they have stuff online that you can't find in the store plus there is more stuff on sale! (I like the sale stuff!!!!!!) I am going on a field trip on Thursday to a city near me. (i can't say which one) We get 2 go 2 a scientific museum and then a ginormous marketplace w/ lots of shops (if we behave this week and in the museum and if it doesn't rain) I will get 2 go shopping w/ my friends! yo, swimin dude! sure i will be your friend! cn nvr have 2 mny! your mom sounds cool! i dont wear many of the things you listed ethier, but that doesnt mean we are not stylish! if yor mom wants more modest go more modest and b stylish! like insted of a mini skirt wear a bright stylish long skirt! it is not always bad to be different. if you know how to sew make your own clothes and if you cant sew just mix and match! lots of the other girls on here have color charts, you could look on those and see if you have any of there colors in your closet and put them together you can still look stylish! it works for me it should work for you! yo-ing as always, ave4u

you can still shop at Wal-mart! Its ok! All you need to do is acceserize! It will make your clothes look fabulous! That is what I do! My mom doent buy a lot of clothes, so i mix and match and acceserize! Dont sweat it at all!

me and my friend went to the mall yesterday and we both got this awesome shirt at urban behaivor. it was 5$$!!!!!!!!! from 15$$ we looked at it and were like "omg that will be expensive" then my mom ponted totthe sign and shes like"girls it 5$$" so we tried it on and both bought it!! love it!! its stapless but not like a bad starpless anyway we wear tanktops uder them and wicked unsual and pretty pink with like flowers on it and an off wite lace. so cute.

It was a cute shirt, but it was long on her and looked dumb because she was only like 8. It seems like she was trying to look older or something. swedishfishyfashion: i took ur advice and everyone loved my outfit!! i wore this red trench coat from delia's (that i got on clearance!) that flared out at the waist in an a-line skirt, like the trench coats from the 50s and 60s with really big buttons on the front. it came just above my knees, and i wore black leggings that went halfway down my shins, and then patent leather black flats. my hair was up in a high pony and i curled it so it was really bouncy, and then i put a wide headband (black patent leather) in too. thanks!!

Hey, just because you shop at AE and all doesn't make you a clone: it's how you wear the stuff that determines your YOU factor! I shop there all the time cuz' it's cute, and with coupons&sales it's cheap, but my style is not at all like ANY of the other kids at my school! It's all in how you wear your stuff!

i think that majority of all of you guys are overestimating the whole ae, hollister, abercrombie, thing. all you have to do is buy differant things from there FOR EXAMPLE like get all of your jeans from ae, polos from abercrombie ect. that make you less like a 'clone' and more like your self.
you can be your self and still dress from those places.
I think Abercrombie and those stores are way overpriced. I have this hoodie from abercrombie and it was $38, but I would never have got it before it went on sale. THe full price was $80. Seriously, you could buy 5 hoodies from department stores for that price. It's crazy.

our school doesnt have uniforms,and we can wear whatever we want,we have a dress code but no one follows it and ppl dont get in trouble. All we hav to wear for PE is this shirt with our school logo on it,but if we dont we wont get in trouble.

hplvr123, omg there're a couple of schools near me that have a uniform like that! But u have so many choices! Ur so lucky! I only have what I described before! That's our formal uniform. Except the boys have gray dress pants and a belt. 4 the gym uniform we have the same as u do! The school logo is on the shirt and then the shorts have the school's abbreviated name and "Physical Education" on them. There R sweatpants, 2, but no one ever wears them (hardly). Our field trip uniform is: A blue polo w/ the school logo a brown/black belt or the school ribbon belt (but most people don't wear it because they're like $20 in the gift shop. But I'm one of the few girls at my shcool who actually wear skirts and dresses occaisionally, and my outfits are always stylish! So, who cares if everyone else freaks out about your outfit? Just go for it one day! You'll more likely than not start a new trend!

does anybody else wish that their school dressed a little more formally?? my school is a public one and everyone (okay, not everyone, but a lot!) wears sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweatpants and sneakers (not that that's bad, it just gets kinda old, you know?). i look in some of those clothing catalogues and see girls wearing high heels with leggings and sundresses. if i wore that to my school, people would spazz. is anybody's school actually more formal?
dramaqueen333, bright pink&yellow, like pink lemonade! deep forest green, dark royal purple(small amounts of it, though), and gold. bright happy blue and pink like cotton candy! Khaki&numerous pastels, mainly light pink, yellow, blue, and green(but not neccessarily all!)
AVOID(unless highly skilled with outfits, OR it's Halloween): black&yellow:bumblebee, especially in stripes mustard yellow and red, you're not the condiment aisle! Deep red and black if you're a happy, bright person, that combos for the others Poo colors and anything. ENough said!
With all the places like Abrecrombie, AE. Hollister etc. You just want to buy there clothes. But most likely when you buy a shirt from there a thousand other girls already own it.I think girls should have there own styles and not the ones of clothing company's. Click the hart if u agree!!

I wear those scarf headbands, they rock! They go really good if you have matching colors. One time I had my guy friend sneak up behind me and snatch the headband of me head. So when I saw him, he took the head band and put it right over his eyes and yelled, "I'm a ninja!!!!!!" And started to run around. The funny thing is, he's in fourth grade. But he's like the clown in my group of friends.

fashionista226: my advice is to not get caught up on being a fashion designer so much. i know what it's like to have a big dream job, but you can't get caught up in the goal, and not focus on the steps to the goal. start out small. do you have a nearby boutique?? if you do, try talking to the owner. show them your designs. if you think they'll think you're too young, wait a couple of years and see if your designs change. also, if they don't like your designs, don't be discouraged!!! styles change like the current of the ocean. in other words, you can count on it changing every season. something that's totally "out" one season will be the next "it" item next season. i hope this helps! ~tennisfreak257

my bro used to be manager at hollister, but he got upgraded to working in the corporate offices...doing some geeky computer stuff(his life-long dream, but not that computers aren't cool!)...that's how i know they're all the same. i know that i'm not forced to dress in their clothes (even though i like the fashions, i actually think they're really cute!) but i just wish that they'd fit me, and that people wouldn't be as crazy about the name brands. that's all. i agree that some designer brands are so expensive, i think, whoa, i could buy my first car with the amount of money that shirt costs!, but i guess that's how the fashion industry is, isn't it? i also think, how on earth do the clique girls never max out??? my mall has: american eagle hollister abercrombie abercrombie & fitch delia's black & white store coach bebe macy's jc penney's (although i almost never go there) target (it's cute stuff for cheap!) sears (ditto w/ jc penney's)

hey every1! I've been surfing around, looking at websites of designers mentioned in the Clique books that I've never heard of. Here's some stuff I found: Lilly Pulitzer:has some nice summery stuff, but it's $58 and up (!) Juicy Couture:I found a pair of pink tie-dye sweats with rainbows and "JUICY" emblazoned on them that I LOVED, but get this: the sweatshirt alone was $98 and the shorts were $58!!! Burberry: I found a skirt I liked in the signature Burberry pattern, [sarcastically] for only a whopping $113!!! Ralph Lauren: I heart the colored polo dresses w/ the little polo pony logo on them, but they're like $50!!! So, I've come to this conclusion: some designer stuff is nice, but it's WAY TOO EXPENSIVE 4 ME! I can't believe that the Clique girls like don't even think of a $780 top is expensive! They live in designer clothes! They have like 10 pairs of Juicy sweats! I like Juicy Couture's stuff. Anybody else think designers R 2 expensive 4 them? ~hermione23

today when i went spring clothing shopping the onlee store i went to is abercrombie, a&f, hollister and victorias secret those r the onlee stores i shop in EVER!
today i went shopping and got 4 denim shorts 2 fleec shorts and 3 new tee's all from abercrombie&&fitch (my fav store) and i got a REAL coach purse it was 200$ and its reely pretty!

I very much agree with you. Necklaces are amazing. Here's some accessorizing tips for everyone:
To really stand out, try matching different necklaces together and layering them. Like one can be thick and one can be thin. One can be long and one can be short. Doesn't matter. It will look fab, I'm telling you. Oh, and pearls. VERY classy & vintage. I love them. You can get pearls from Claire's if you weren't sure.
I do sort of agree with you. The prices may be a bit over-rated, but it's the fashion industry. Things will be very expensive because it's high fashion. But basically, they're just names or labels with a certain unique look to them, you know? But there are a lot of things in this world that is expensive that doesn't seem like they should be. It's one of those things that's hard to understand. Here's a bit of advice: You don't need expensive things to look nice or be cool. Be you and dress how you want to. :]
Hey people, WHy does Louis VUttion and GUcci and Coach have to be so expensive? Yeah, there nice items, but even some place like Hollister is cheaper. And if you get knockoffs, they look the same! There's no reason it should be that expensive! AND WHAT'S WITH THE GUARDS AT THE DOORS? ONE TIME I BEEPED AND THEY ALL GAVE ME THIS EVIL LOOK AND STARTED WALKING TOWARD ME(I DIDNT STEEL ANYTHING).

Oh, yay! My big sis just sent me a package with a bunch of clothes for me! They all look kinda boho/western/summer fairy-chic, and they are so cute! My fave piece is a white cotton summerdress with spaghetti straps and red and white and green pastel flowers on the bottom, like some cottage pattern. I also really liked this one button-down oxford-style shirt made out of some really soft fabric, plaid with turqouise, gold, brown, and more green-blues, all crinkly and with iridescent blue buttons. So pretty! and all for free!
