Write with Friends!
• 1 pen or pencil per person
• 1 photograph (preferably cut from a magazine or a photo that other participants have not seen before)
1) Sit in a circle. Make sure that everyone has a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. 2) Pass the photograph around the circle so that everyone sees it. An ad from a magazine or candid shots of celebrities doing silly things usually works best. 3) Once everyone has seen the photograph, place it in the middle of the circle.
4) Allow five minutes for each person to write three sentences that begin a story behind the photograph.
5) After five minutes, tell each girl to pass her paper to the girl on her left.
6) Continue the story that the person on your right has begun. Don’t write more than three sentences in one sitting.
7) Pass the sheets around and continue each story until you have your original story back in your hands.
8) Read all the zany stories aloud! Fun Tip: For even sillier stories, let everyone’s paper go around the circle two (or more) times before you write an ending! |
