Superstar Stories!

detectivegirl918 - First Place
One morning at my Theater Camp, I was playing the role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland. I was so nervous I felt like I was going to throw up! I walked onstage, trying my absolute best, when all of a sudden, one of the hardest scenes in the show had unfortunatley come. The Chesire Cat had said her line and I stumbled my line and said,"Then you also know that I...then you..." I couldn't think of which line to say. I could feel the tears starting to well up. I looked over at my BFF Aly, who was playing the head Chesire Cat, who improvised a line that had to do with what we were talking about. I mouthed Thank You and she mouthed back No Problem. My first lead role started to make a turn for the worst, but then my BFF saved me. Hey, what are BFF's for?

Well, my BEST time on stage was when I was singing a solo in my school play, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I listened for my que and then, I heard it, the lyric before my part! I had HUGE butterflies but it felt so good. So I opened my mouth and started to sing. Everyone stared in amazment. They actually LOVED me! I started to smile and my butterflies left. Afterwards, everyone (even people who I did not know) told me I did a FANTASTIC job. There were SEVEN HUNDRED people there! I bet anyone would be nervous too! After the whole play, I got a HUGE boquet of gorgeous flowers from all of my fans. (my fans=my family) ;) So I would say that it turned out pretty well! Now I love singing and someday, I will be a FAMOUS singer! See ya!

When I was in 1st grade, we were doing a school preformance & my teacher came up & said, "You would be just perfect for the 'Dancing Cow' scene".  So i did it & I was with all the 8th graders & they were saying like, "oh you're so cute", & "oh will you dance by me?" & stuff, it was really funny because I was in  the full body cow suit white everyone else had black tights & a white T-shirt w/ spots on it, I was definately the star of that scene!  I got so many compliments after & i kept hearing the same things over & over again: "You're the cutest!", "I loved your costume!", etc.  It was such an amazing feeling!

In first grade, we were having a play about a garden. The boys were the weeds and the girls were the flowers. Some people got to be other plants, like touch-me-nots. We got to have different color petal headbands. The girls had to do ballet. I got a yellow (my favorite color!) petal headband, and, since I played ballet at the time, I had the perfect yellow tutu and outfit to go with it . On the night of the play, I felt like a 'flower queen'!

Horrible, Terrible, Embarrassing Moments!

Cinnamon Apple - First Place
I went to this dance/gymnastics/acting summer camp the summer before fourth grade. We were doing the play Peter Pan, and I reaaalllllly wanted to play Wendy, but all the older girls snatched the good parts. All that was left was... the dog. And guess who was the lucky girl to get it? Yep, me. Embarassing, but at least I didn't have to worry about forgotting lines. I had two words to say: Woof, woof! ;)

It was my acting debut in 5th grade in the King and I, and I was so excited (and nervous). I was getting ready to go onstage when i realized that I couldn't find my costume. I looked and looked but it was nowhere to be found. As an alternative I had to borrow an extra pair of slacks but they were huge!!! I was still determined to do my part onstage. I put on these huge pants and I walked onstage pulling them up in every step. Everytime I let the pants go though they dropped down to my knees and I could barely move. When I was kneeling on the ground to bow to the king my pants totally fell and my monkey underwear was beared to the audience. I was horrified because all of my classmates and family was there. The worst part is I didn't notice until I tried to get up. After that the theatre only brings back bad memories.

One time at the school talent show, I was singing with one of my friends("I got Nerve" by Hannah Montana) the mic was hooked up to the sound system and the whole things just broke! The mic cord and everything fell to the ground. The only thing I was holding was the microphone!! It was so embarrassing! Everyone started to snicker and laugh! My face turned so red that when I got off stage, my friend said I looked like a cherry head up there!

When I was really little, we did a christmas pageant in our school. And I remember that a girl that I didnt really like (a queen of mean you might say) got the part I wanted. I was really mad. When the real play came, she forgot her line. I couldnt help it and laughed, which wasnt a really nice thing. But I guess it got back at me. I lost balance while laughing and fell down the padio. All eyes were on me. I can remember that moment of embaressement, it was the most embaressed I ever got in my life. But it taught me a lesson, never be happy about the mistakes of others, it will always get back at you!!!!!

I was the stew chef in the play and when a boy that I liked came in I got up and tripped over a chair and spilled all of the stew on him,(but thank goodness it was pretend stew).

LOL!

pinkypoodleinzehouse - First Place
In first grade, we did little red riding hood. i was the wolf, none of the girls wanted to be the granny so a boy had to be the granny. Get this; he was the sort of guy who loved to make people laugh. So during our performance, he started talking in this high squeaky voice and made me laugh so hard I sounded as if I were in pain. The teacher stopped the play. Most of the kids are still mad at me even though I'm in the 6th grade. Jeez !

My funniest moment happened two years ago when I was in a community theater production of Oliver. I was playing an orphan. It was closing night, the opening number...a song all the orphans sing called Food Glorious Food. The way the choreographers did it, we had to sit down at a table that had a bowl at each place. But surprise...the crew members had put funny notes in everyone's bowl. They said things like, "Sponge Bob" and "Stinky Buns." Everyone had a chuckle, but I just couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't even SING I was laughing so hard. Turns out, one of my teachers had decided to come that day! She asked me, "What was so funny?" and I burst out laughing all over again!

at a theatre camp this summer we put on a play and my drama teacher said to me,"I know you get stagefright but I decided to give you a solo." and when I looked at the script it turns out I was a boy, even worse, a VAMPIRE!!!!! but I went out there and did my best and next summer she said she thinks she'll give me another solo!!!!!
