Having an older sister can be tough sometimes, right? Besides the little fights and squabbles and things, she also gets to do almost EVERYTHING before I do! Like, she’s in high school right now, so she’s always talking about all the cool stuff they do there, like clubs, dances, and pep rallies, and how you have so much more independence as a high schooler. I know I’ll get there someday, but in the meantime, I’m super jealous.
So, imagine how I felt when Elena Maria started dating. All of a sudden, my sister wasn’t around as often to just hang out, watch movies, and do crafts together—like we used to. Sometimes, she’ll even have a boy over to do homework together at the kitchen table. Or, she’ll be going to the movies with a group of friends (including the boy she likes) to see a film I really want to watch!
you tell us ...
As her “little” sister (I hate being called that!), what should I do? How can I stay involved in her life? I miss my big sister!

You should set aside a certain day such as a Saturday when your sister doesn't have any plans and ask her if you can spend some time together! You could see a movie, go crazy in the kithchen, or just take some time to talk to each other! One of my sistes' is 17, and sometimes, when it's late, and neither of us are tired,we stay in her room and talk for hours! It's a great way to learn more about each other's life!  |

Explain how you and your sister used to hang out, you know, all the good times with her, laughing together, telling each other secrets, stuff like that. Than tell her how much you miss her and how you wish that she would spend just a little more quality time with you. I have an idea. You can be involved in her life by making for example Saturday, YOUR day -together. First talk to her and if she likes the idea, do it. That day you'll hang out, go to the mall, to the movies, stay home and rent movies, do activities together, go to eat...do things you both enjoy. And you'll catch up and be together. Ok Horsegrl1, well the thing to do is let your bff know you feel and no one should like you because you have too! Tell that to this boy too K! Tell him that he does not have to like you just because your friend said so! And if he does great! But the prob. here is you and your friend!
