You know, sometimes I wish I were in the movies. Well, actually, I wish that ALL the time! But, I find myself especially jealous of those girls in Hollywoodland who get PUSHED together with a cute boy by outside forces. Like, Gabriella and Troy when they sang Karaoke. It ALWAYS works out that the boy ends up liking the girl and the girl ends up liking the guy, and everyone’s happy.

But, what if you and your crush AREN’T pushed together… ever? Like, you’re not in the same class, you don’t have the same friends, and you feel like you’re just meant to stare at him from afar… oh, so romantic!

Romantic, but frustrating. So, how DO you get to know your crush when it seems like the forces of nature are keeping you APART? Read on for my secrets.

Use your resources. If your crush is in your friend’s class (lucky!), talk to her about casually dropping your name in here and there. Like, “Hey, that was a great story you read today in class. My friend Charlotte is a really good writer, too.” Or, if he plays on your brother’s soccer team, go to the games and say “hi” or “good game”—not too hard, right?

Focus on his strengths. If you are talking to your crush casually from time to time and need another excuse to talk to him, think about his strengths and what he’s into. Like, if he’s really into music, you could ask him to recommend which Rolling Stones CD is the best to get for your dad or something. Also, everyone likes to talk about stuff that they’re good at. Bring up a sport he likes or ask him a question about something he knows a LOT about. Chances are, he won’t give you a one-word answer!

Be BOLD. No, really, you gotta be bold sometimes when there are no forces of nature pushing you and your crush together. You have to make it happen for yourself! Yeah, you can have your BFF talk to his friend, but that route can take AGES for anything to happen. Sometimes, you just gotta go up to him, smile, and say “hi!” It shows confidence and friendliness—which are GREAT qualities to have. And, it’s not like you have to single him out, either. Say hey-what’s-up to all his friends, or challenge his group of guys to a soccer match against your group of girls. Sometimes things seem a lot easier when you have your girls behind you!

Crushing from afar might seem impossible, but there ARE ways to get to know your crush when you’re not already in the same group of friends, or neighbors, or picked to sing Karaoke together. I am ten and I am going to middle school too!!! I am super excited and not a bit nervous. I wish I could get my school supplies already because I love to shop around when you have a purpose and not just to get whatever I want. Oh, and about your best friend, well, that happened to me too but there were no different classes and stuff so I really only got to see her at recess and lunch. Why she was so mean,she told my friend that the picture she drew for the art fair was so ugly that she had to throw it away. How mean!!!!!)wanted me to correct papers for her because me and my best friend(I still dont know why she said that to the other teachers pet!!!)were teachers pet. I was the lucky one who got to correct the papers though. When I looked inside the envolope with the papers,guess what was in it besides the papers I was going to correct?The class list!!! That is still not how I got it though. Well, I am really noosy so I looked at what class I was going to be in.5E. Well, that still wasnt the part were I got the list. So when I had finished correcting them, I asked the substitute what I had to do with the envolope. She actually told me to keep it!!! OMG OMG23!!! (I like saying it that way.) I was so excited. What I didnt tell her was that the class list was in their. So then everyone started to ask me what class they were in behind the teachers back. Finally, my friend asked me what class she was in. I looked and she was in...5W. I was so sad. We werent going to be in the same class.Then on the last day of school, my teacher revealed the other copy of the class list. Uhh. I thought "She cant do that. It is to early to decide". But, she could do it. Anyways, I am finally done with that story. Well, at least my other bf was in my class. We fought a lot though but still, she fought more with her so called friends, and she is still closer to them.
We are still pretty close though. Okay, I am sorry I wrote so much, but I had a lot to say. Well, now going to your next problem. Oh well, umm, I cant really relate to that because(Not to brag)but I am kind of like a straight A student (except for one B in social studies)and there is a boy I like but he is also smart too so there is nothing getting in the way. I guess he likes me as a friend because he always asks me to cheat for him (and I do it!!!) and two times I gave him water bottles (and he never paid me back!!!). So, dont let the boy get in the way too much. Dnt think about next year though. Think about the summer!!!

Well, I thought I had a crush on a boy named D**, BUT THEN I GOT TO KNOW HIM! He was really mean! I sat next to a guy in homeroom, religeon, English, & science! (arent I lucky!) And also there was one class, Math, every monday, It was me, my BFF, T** and B** (the guy I like) We are in honors math, and we only have 8 people regularly, but they go to band class. Our teacher lets us talk alot on Mondays. He is sweet, funny, and we dont mind if we get in trouble together. He told me some of his secrets, I told him some of mine, if it wasnt me, I would call us bf/gf! We were the first 4th grade couple! At the leap-year dance, we all danced together and during one dance the girls gathered aroung this dark scary janitors closet, jokingly he pushed me in and all the girls started chasing the boys. Then the girls and the boys danced together, and I happend to be talking to him! BEst year of my life. I also had friends who lied, so i went to other ones, and they happend to be my BFFL's! So, dont sweat it if one group of friends doesnt work out, cuz in the end, you will turn out happy! My best advice is be yourself and tell people how you feel, and you will feel better! (dont just trust everyone, get to know them first.) Also, Have a variety of friends, so if one frienship fails, you can always rely on another! smilies/tongue.gif THANKS FOR READING!
