Okay, so why is it that I talk up a storm with Charlotte, Isabel, Avery, and Maeve, but when it comes to talking to boys… I feel like I have nothing to say! We had this dance a few weeks ago and an eighth-grader asked me if I wanted to dance with him! Yay! He seemed pretty cool at the dance, and I kind of want to get to know him better as a friend. But, whenever we see each other in the halls, it’s like “Hi.” And that’s it!
I need some help, ladies. I need some tips on talking to crushes—and I’m sure I’m not alone!

Sometimes, just talking to boys gives me the heebie-jeebies! How do you get over being totally scared to talk to a crush?
All I do is get to know the boys. Easy? Not that asy. But, if you just ask him to be friends. Then after you know him better you wont get as touge tied!!!
I guess, u can't really ask me, cause i don't have much 'experience', but i know that, maybe you can try to make up a joke with him, so every time you pass him, just be like- "yeah, remember...." lol. idk, maybe it will work. or try asking him out or something.
I learned (the hard way) that you should really like and trust a guy that is nice and funny and is easy to talk to. Try learning more about him and talk about stuff he likes. Take it easy and dont talk the whole time. (unless your lucky and get a guy that loves to listen but usually that doesn't happen) let him talk to.
hay girl, Well I want to just say that this boy that I like is really nice and we have been friends forever yes like 10 years and the other day he asked me out for some hot coco and I went and I think that we are kind of going for the boyfriend/girlfriend thing I like him I just don't want things to get weird because we have been friends like forever! Ohhh... you told Maeve about this, too, right? This is so exciting! It's normal for friends to sometimes feel like they might want to be MORE than friends. And, since you've known this guy forever, there's a good chance that you trust him. Take things slowly, and forget about any pressure to do stuff or meet other people's expectations. And, if things work out, won't you be glad you took the leap of faith???

Careful -- if you ask a friend what you should do, she might talk you into doing something you don't want to. Of course, spill it to your BFFs if you want to, but make sure whatever happens is YOUR decision.

Hold up -- if he is your friend's ex, then he wasn't too weird for her to go out with him! "Weirdness" or whatever aside, all that really matters is if he's nice to you, nice to others, and is a good person. Don't feel ashamed for liking a perfectly nice guy, ya know?

As much as the Kgirl would like to guarantee that everything will work out, there is a chance that it won't. Not all girls who get denied by boys lost them as friends, but it is a possibility. And, it depends on the boy. Maybe test the waters a little by talking to one of his friends. Dillon once told me that a lot of boys don't talk about crushes like girls do (ummm, what?), but his friend might be able to clue you in on whether telling him is worth risking your friendship.
Well my crush is one of my best friends. I am tottaly comfortable by him. SO Just become friends with him first and then you will see you can tlak to ghim without getting nevous all the time.

You gotta keep it together, girl. Repeat after me: I am cool, smart, and funny. I am cool, smart, and funny. But being confident doesn't mean you shouldn't do a little boy-talk homework. Before you start a conversation with him, come up with two or three things you two can talk about. That way, if you hit one of those awkward pauses, you'll be totally prepared.
A lot of guys I can talk to because I have known them for the past 8 1/2 years but others I don't know what to say and talk about. HELP?!?!
Hey girl. Yeah, it's hard to think of things to say to boys sometimes. It's totally cool to start out by talking about things most people have some kind of opinion on--like music or TV shows. Then (hopefully) from there, the conversation will just take off!
I don't get nervous around boys. They're like my favorite subject. All my friends say I ahve a way with boys- but I think that you have to like em' to be able to talk to them comfortabley!
