Dear Kgirl, I want to learn how to sew, but my mom is making me do all these kinds of sports that I don't really like. The only sport that I really like is golf because I don't get real sweaty and because you're suppost to wear kaky's and all of my shirts match kaky's. How can I tell my mom that I only want to do golf? Luv Kgirl101
katani i wish i can be like you and dress like you because i think that we can be sister's and stuff i almost dress like you and act like you and i know you do not like bugs same with me i hate bugs one time i had crumbs in the back of my closet and i forgot to clean it up so i left there over night and the next morning i woke up i went into the bathroom and they was just crawling every where and i kept itching and my mom said check your closet and i said there was no bugs in there and then my mom went to check the closet then she said there the bugs and i was just freaking out and they got all over my clothes and we had to go shopping for some new clothes so i gave my old clothes to the homeless and when i got my new clothes they were slamming cause i went to newyork and got them from the most greatest places in new york a nd shop i forgot the name of the stores because they sounded like french well ; Smiley
Hey Kgirl I don`t have a sense of style could you give me any tips?
No style
Style is all about who YOU are, so you gotta find it for yourself! But one thing you can do to start is wear a funky necklace or an unusual belt. Just one crazy piece can make a whole outfit shine!
Hi Katani!!! sorry if I spelled it wrong! I kind of got mad at my friend the other day, and I put my feelings on a comment on Maeve and I didn't meen to send it so could you like say sorry for me from karkar99 and have her e-mail me back ? thanks a lot your favorite fan, karkar99- Karlie!
Karkar99, Girlfriend,I'm so glad you wrote and apologized. Sometimes we get upset at one thing and the next person who comes along is the one we take it out on. That person has no idea what's going on. I've explained the situation to Maeve and let her know that you're sorry. You might wish to apologize yourself too.
TTYL,
P.S. Hey Club BSGers, remember, Club BSG is a place where you can be yourself but you also need to remember that we're all on this ol' planet together and we need to be nice to each other.
I love to go on Istant messager every day after school tell i go to bed. Becuase im not doing any sports tell Spring time so im always bored. And none of my friends live clseo to me so i can't chill with them. I have these fourt friends, they live in differnet states then I do. All four of the blocked me becuase they don't really know me. And one of them said i was annoying becuase i always complained to her. Well i thought she was a good friend but i guess I was wrong. I don't want my other friends / penpals to block me what should i do. from Don't want 2 lose anymore friends
Katani I have a great fashion tip!Don't wear a headband the same color as your shirt it just doesn't match very well !try the same color as your pants.BTW will a boy notice you if you wear great clothes?
A boy MIGHT notice you if you wear great clothes, but girl, that is so not the point! Fashion is all about how you feel about yourself. And when you look good, you feel good. That's like Kgirl rule #1.
cuttie33 Writes: i need a new but awsome new look what do i do
littlewoz1119523 Writes: i want 2 change my look but how??????
Start small. As in, small but totally fabulous: ACCESSORIES. Try a necklace or a bracelet in a style you wouldn't normally wear, or maybe a different kind of belt or bag. Little changes add up big time when it comes to fashion!
Katani- How do you stay so organized having three sisters??? It is so sweet that you are always watching out for Kelley. I sure do hope that you have your own fashion empire someday!!!
It's sooo not easy staying organized at my house, especially sharing a room with my sister. Basically I try to make sure I always put away everything in its place, like keeping sewing materials in my sewing drawer and school stuff in my book bag. That way I always know where to find it when I need it!
Hey kgirl! when istarted to read your books aqnd found your nicname was kgirl i freaked out!!! cause hey so is mine! Anyway i have a question while i'm at it! Dose any of the BSG play an instrument 'cause i haven't read them for very long. if not, try it!!
That's a great idea! I know Isabel plays the guitar a little, and I think Maeve used to play the violin. Do you play an instrument?
TTYL,
you wrote me this and so i'm replying, i do play the violin
Hi KGirl!!! I think I am like you alot! I LOVE fashion and I like to be organized and plan things out! What is your favorite color? Right now I am on book #2 (almost finished though!) I can't wait to read more.
Hey girl! As a designer I have a lot of favorite colors, but right now I'm really into golden yellow. So sunny and chic.
Everyone else is saying they are just like you... but I'm nothing like you! But when I was little my favorite color was oragne for a looong time, when all the other girls loved pink. Anyways, don't say you can't do sports. Anyone can do anything! The problem is, that some girls give up and say they "stink" at somthing if they don't master it right away. Don't be like that! Stand up strong!
Hey girl! You are so right. We girls can do anything we set our minds to! I'll def take your advice when it comes to sports. Thanks for the encouragement.
WELL UR HAIRSTYLE IS QUITE KUL. ACTUALLY I NID A BIT FASHION TIPS FROM U AS MY HAIRS ARE LONG PPL SAY I CAN MAKE MANY HAIRSTYLES BUT WEN START MAKIN MY HAIRS GET SPOILED PLZ. GIV ME A SOLUTION FOR DIS. TC... BYE...

Olivia
Hey Livvy,
Thanks for the compliment on my logo! I think it definitely has Kgirl style. As for your boring old jeans, why not try using a long, skinny scarf as a belt? That's what I suggested to Nik and Sam when the BSG went to Montana, and it looked so awesome when they wore the belts on stage! (You can read about it in Book 11, Ghost Town).
Hey Katani!! You are my favorite Beacon Street Girl of all time!! I want to be in the fashion business too!! I love putting outfits together like a jigsaw puzzle with lots of taste in fashion!! Thank you Katani!! You are so cool!! Bye Katani!! Gwyn P.S(I hope you like my entry for the Costume Conundrum!!)
Dear Katani, I love your logo, Kgirl. Its awesome and totally shouts YOU!! Fashion is my fave thing, and horses are cool. I once rode one, so to me they are sweet! Kelley is really really funny and nice toward you and your best friends, Isabel, Maeve, Charlotte, and Avery, and Mr. Martay!
Hi. I don't want to repeat what you always hear which is: "I'm just like you!" BUT I would like to point out that we are the same because we are both leaders. I was already pretty confident but when I read "Out of Bounds" I become the confident queen. It was so awesome how you ran the talent show and came up with those ideas with the BSG. Thank you so much for helping me!
Hey Katani! You are such a style queen! I totally need fashion tips! My jeans sometimes are looking pretty boring. What can I do to make them look like boring to shine?! I have belts & everything, but I don't know what to do with the boring old jeans!
Girls, I have some other fashion tips too!! Just send a reply with this box and say,
Kgirl, u are one of the best. I love ur fashion. I wish I could be like that. I just wanted to mention that maybe that u guys could wear pink to fight bullies. I credit this to two boys in Canada, i had no part in it expect to try to spread it.
Dear Katani,I like your logo.I want one too because I sooooo want to be a fashion designer. My name is Gayathri.Cana you make me one.My fave colour is orange. Can you please, give me some fashion tips about clothing?Gotta go! Your ultimate fan,Gayathri
Hey Kgirl! I am almost just like you! I love fashion and designing clothes and absolutely love horses and riding. message me back! Colleen
Hi Colleen,
Yup, I looove riding horses. It is one of my favorite things to do. Plus, my sister Kelley likes it, too. Fashion rocks and so does designing clothes. My future fashion empire is going to be called Kgirl. Good luck with YOUR future fashion empire!
Dear Katani, I am currently reading the Beacon Street Girls series and it is the most awesome series ever!!!!! While I have been reading it I have realized how similar we are, we both love designing things, although I haven’t quite moved on to designing clothes (at least not yet and we are both great at math! ( I am taking grade 9 math during grade 8 and am so psyched for the challenge ) I’m also great at science like you but it isn’t really my thing. My mom says my love of crafts and stuff is because I am artistic but I know I’m more like you than Isabel and it ‘s because I love to design things. You’re campaign posters in Promises, Promises helped me get over my designer’s block and inspired this year’s locker magnets ( I design and make tons of cute magnets every year for my locker). I want to be either an interior designer or an architect when I grow up. Like I said before I love to make crafts I knit, I sew, I even paint but that’s to make things that I’ve designed not for like paintings, lately I have been making these cute barefoot sandal jewelry things from beads, they are like an anklet with a string of beads and a loop at the end that goes around your second toe. Also I’ve been making some things out of air dry clay, it’s so much fun, you should try it!!!! But one of the things that we have in common makes me kind of sad; we both have an older sibling with autism. My older brother is 15 ½ and has such a severe case of autism that he can’t even talk, he doesn’t live with us anymore because he has ADHD, which makes him hard to handle. Anyways like you I am the baby of the family. And last but not least like you I am of African descent , in other words I’m black and I’m proud! But we are a bit different, in other ways I’m actually a lot like Avery… I am one of the shortest girls at school and I also love sports (not great at them though) my favourite ones are field hockey and volleyball. And in a few ways I am also like Maeve, I absolutely adore singing and kind of like dancing and have been in every school play that I possible can, and am a little teeny bit like Charlotte because people say I’m a great writer even though I don’t really like writing. And of course in the way that you are similar to Isabel so am I!
From A Beacon Street Girls and Katani Fan, Called, Amina!
Hi Amina!
Thank you so much for such a sweet comment. And you’re right, we ARE a lot alike! We have a ton of the same interests, and your original creations sound like something I’d want under my Kgirl Enterprises fashion line—well, as soon as I start it. I’m sorry to hear that your brother doesn’t live with you anymore, but I’ve learned with Kelley that loving your family and doing what’s best for each other is one of the most important things a family can do. I’ll tell the other girls they’ve got a fan in you, too!
hey k! I'm new any advice? I sooo heart fashion by the way. but I'm not really the type to follow the trends, i'm a lot better at setting them. I design clothes like ALL THE TIME. they are actually pretty good. i think. :-) so i'm in karate, but I'm really a girlie girl who just happens to be good at karate (and it's the only sport I'm good at!!) so, can i get a reply?
Hey girlfriend!
A trendsetter? That’s amazing! I love to set trends at Abigail Adams Junior High. It makes me feel like I’m practicing for my style and advice stores. That’s a fashion designer in the making! We can’t just wear what everyone else is wearing. We’ve got to use our fashion creativity! That’s so cool that you’re into karate. And you know what? You can be a girlie girl AND be into karate. I always say that confidence is one of the best accessories a girl can wear. And it sounds like with karate under your belt and an eye for style, you’ve got confidence to spare!
I love love love your character! I'm just writing this to tell you that. I'm sorry, but in book 8, Lucky Charm, I totally disagreed with you when you thought the money should go to High Hopes. Marty is more important! Anyway, I'm in book 9, Freaked Out, and you are totally acting like I would. Maeve got up way too late to get to the fashion show! Didn't you feel like you hated her at that moment? I sure did. I started reading the Beacon Street Girls series in March, I think. I really love fashion designing, but I also have a problem. I don't draw the tall, skinny people when I fashion design. I think that it's really hard! Could I get an internship at a fashion corperation even if my drawings aren't like that? Sincerely, April
Hey April!
That’s so cool that you’re a big fan of the BSG! And you know what? You are free to express your opinion about any of the books. So, thanks for sharing! In Freaked Out, yeah, I was totally annoyed with Maeve, but she’s one of my best friends, so even though we disagree sometimes, we’re still always there for one another and watching each other’s backs. You’re into designing, too? That’s so cool! One of my favorite trends in the fashion industry right now is that not all models have to be tall and thin anymore. Many fashion corporations are looking for people of all shapes and sizes, so if you design clothes for EVERYONE (and not just tall and thin girls) you’re on the right track.
Dear Katani, Hi! My name is Angel. I can't believe I'm actually talking to you. You are one of my most favorite inspirations/role models in the world. I want to become a fashion designer like you do when I grow up. I also want to become other things when I grow up, but becoming a fashion designer or clothes designer is #1 on my list. We both are kind of alike because I really don't like sports, but I do play volleyball and I'm going to do track next year in seventh grade. I also love to design clothes, but I'm the tallest in my family, so its kind of hard to make some in my size. It feels great to actually talk to one of the BSG. I feel really lucky right now. Thanks for talking to me!
Sincerely, Angel
Hey Angel!
You want to be a fashion designer too? NO WAY! I think the best thing about wanting to be a fashion designer is that you can get started right away! I’m designing all the time—whenever the mood strikes. I want to be a fashion designer AND open my own business. It’ll be a style and advice chain with stores across the nation! And you know what, Angel? I feel super tall, too, sometimes. But, that’s what makes your talent so special. And don’t worry, my Grandma Ruby says that by the time I’m in high school, there will be tons of other tall people roaming the halls.
Hey Katani! I like your logo, kgirl. It's neat! I like fashion, like you. I have never made my own clothing item before; I don't even know how to sew! You sound like an amazing friend and designer, from the books. My favorite color is periwinkle. It's a shade of purple, but I bet you already knew that! Do you like canary yellow, golden yellow, or just plain yellow? I love yellow, because it's so bright. Do you have a favorite article of clothing to make? Another question: Do you play any sports or participate in any clubs after school? Just curios. Well gotta go!
Your friend Christine Age 13
Hi Christine,
Wow—thanks for the props! You know what, though? Anyone can learn to sew—check out local community centers to see if they’re offering sewing classes and try it! I loving sewing fabrics of all different colors, but I do love yellow. Golden yellow is my favorite, especially in the fall when the color matches the leaves outside. Sometimes, nature inspires my designs! One of my favorite things to make is scarves. Scarves are the first item in my Kgirl line—hopefully soon to be followed by a complete line of fashion and accessories! Even though my sisters are totally gifted when it comes to sports, I am so completely unathletic—it’s like the sports gene just ran out after Candice and Patrice. But, sports aren’t the only after-school activities. I’m taking a knitting class at Fabric World after school, and I also love attending the Future Business Leaders of America club. After all, I want to be one!
