 Hi girls!
You know, sometimes I wish I were in the movies. Well, actually, I wish that ALL the time! But, I find myself especially jealous of those girls in Hollywoodland who get PUSHED together with a cute boy by outside forces. Like, Gabriella and Troy when they sang Karaoke. It ALWAYS works out that the boy ends up liking the girl and the girl ends up liking the guy, and everyone’s happy.
But, what if you and your crush AREN’T pushed together… ever? Like, you’re not in the same class, you don’t have the same friends, and you feel like you’re just meant to stare at him from afar… oh, so romantic!
Romantic, but frustrating. So, how DO you get to know your crush when it seems like the forces of nature are keeping you APART? Read on for my secrets.
Use your resources. If your crush is in your friend’s class (lucky!), talk to her about casually dropping your name in here and there. Like, “Hey, that was a great story you read today in class. My friend Charlotte is a really good writer, too.” Or, if he plays on your brother’s soccer team, go to the games and say “hi” or “good game”—not too hard, right?
Focus on his strengths. If you are talking to your crush casually from time to time and need another excuse to talk to him, think about his strengths and what he’s into. Like, if he’s really into music, you could ask him to recommend which Rolling Stones CD is the best to get for your dad or something. Also, everyone likes to talk about stuff that they’re good at. Bring up a sport he likes or ask him a question about something he knows a LOT about. Chances are, he won’t give you a one-word answer!
Be BOLD. No, really, you gotta be bold sometimes when there are no forces of nature pushing you and your crush together. You have to make it happen for yourself! Yeah, you can have your BFF talk to his friend, but that route can take AGES for anything to happen. Sometimes, you just gotta go up to him, smile, and say “hi!” It shows confidence and friendliness—which are GREAT qualities to have. And, it’s not like you have to single him out, either. Say hey-what’s-up to all his friends, or challenge his group of guys to a soccer match against your group of girls. Sometimes things seem a lot easier when you have your girls behind you!
Crushing from afar might seem impossible, but there ARE ways to get to know your crush when you’re not already in the same group of friends, or neighbors, or picked to sing Karaoke together. right?! Well the only thing you can do is don't care what other people think! Who cares what other people think! If you don't think what other people think then what is the big deal here I mean I know everyone knows you like your crush now but there could be worse things so think of it in a positave way! Like at least you did not rip you pants and everyone saw your flower underwear! I mean come on that would be pritty bad! So just have a good time and Laugh
