But, aside from practicing my acting, singing, dancing, and acceptance-speech- making, I have some important Q's for the PROS. Read my EXCLUSIVE chat with Christy Carlson Romano about do's and don'ts of auditions AND what it's like to walk the red carpet!
********** Christy, 23, has been in the ‘biz since she was little, and although you can see her today on TV and in movies, she started out on the STAGE (like me!). One of her first roles was one of the Von Trapp children when she toured with the stage version of The Sound of Music (love!) starring Marie Osmond! But, she really made her mark on the stage when she became the youngest actress to play Belle on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. She performed almost every night for eight whole months! She wowed the crowds and even won a Junior Broadway Star Award for being super talented—AND a good role model, too. Christy’s big break on TV came with the role of Ren Stevens in the Disney Channel Original Series “Even Stevens.” She also appeared with Hilary Duff in Cadet Kelly, a movie about a girl who attends a military academy! Yiiikes! Now, you can catch her Emmy-nominated portrayal of Kim Possible in Disney’s awesome, butt-kicking cartoon now in its fourth season. Most recently, she starred in Campus Confidential and The Cutting Edge II: Going for the Gold—the sequel to one of my all-time flikchic faves! She plays a spoiled ice skater forced to compete in pairs skating with an ex-pro roller-blader after she suffers an injury. She REALLY doesn’t like her (super cute!) partner at first, but then they get to know one another and… well, you’ll have to see it to find out what happens!
