Hello movie lovers!

With all the buzz about High School Musical 2, I got to thinking about my favorite musicals of all time. The musical is making a huge comeback with flicks like HSM, HSM2, Hairspray, and Dreamgirls, which came out last year. But, I'd have to say that for the time being, my all-time favorite musical is still West Side Story! Romance, drama, dancing ... and oh-so-fabulous music. What more could a drama girl want?

West Side Story is actually based on the famous Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet. The main characters are Tony and Maria, who fall in love but are from totally different backgrounds. Hello, star-crossed lovers! Tony's friends don't want him to fall in love with Maria and Maria’s friends don’t want her to fall in love with Tony. But, they do anyway and—oh!—it’s just all so romantic and tragic. You HAVE to see it. That, and my second favorite musical of all time—My Fair Lady with, of course, the amazing Audrey Hepburn.
