Secret Crushes

Dear Journal,

We were having a Tower sleepover the other night when Maeve brought up the one subject that always makes me feel tingly all the way down to my toes: Nick Montoya—aka, my super-secret sorta crush. I know I must have turned 50 different shades of red. I mean, it can be fun to talk about Nick with the BSG, but it can also be SOOOO embarrassing! And you won’t believe what Maeve was saying. She actually thinks I should…get ready for this…ASK HIM OUT!

Of course my first reaction was no no no no NO! No way am I ready for that. And then, when I thought about it some more, my reaction was still NO. Hanging out with Nick is so much fun, and I definitely don’t want things to get weird. We always have an awesome time just kicking a soccer ball around or even working on a school project together! I’m afraid that if I bring up the whole ‘I like you’ issue, things will get messed up.

And you know what? I’m totally OK with feeling like that. I think it’s cool that Maeve would be brave enough to just walk up to her crush and ask him out, but that’s sooo not me. I just want to take it slow and see what happens naturally. For now, the only crush I want to hear about is the one between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth from Pride and Prejudice!

yes, but not forever. become his friend and try to find out if he likes you. if he does, let him know your feelings. if you think he's not interested, remind yourself that you can still be his friend and try to get over your crush on him. me, i usually tell only my best friend. if you tell a lot of your friends, especially the loudmouth, outgoing ones that we all have, your secret could travel to your crush before you're ready for him to know.

	The way I won my by boyfriends heart(haha that sounds funny but its true)was we started off as best friends. I would visit him every day at his locker. And started giving hints that I liked him. I asked him to a dance at school about a week from the dance. The day after Valentines dayhe asked me out and I was over joyed I was bouncing off the walls.
