Abigail Adams Junior High School

Abigail Adams Junior High School—scene of the Beacon Street Girls' first disastrous meeting! The school is named after President John Adams' wife Abigail Adams. She was a really cool lady who gave her husband great advice. Here's one of her famous quotes: "We have too many high-sounding words and too few actions that correspond to them." Translation: "Stop talking and get things done!"

Principal Ruby Fields runs AAJH with a firm hand and a kind word for everyone. Katani thinks it's cool that her grandmother is the principal (most of the time). The best part of Abigail Adams Junior High? The field trips, of course!

	There is way too much gossip in Middle School. At least I have friends this year. Last year in 6th grade my friends ditched me because I wasn't cool enough.Over all I have liked middle school so far(only one year left 'till high school!) but I do still miss elementary school.

	Oh well I'm going to go into my 8th grade year, m last year of junior high, (now called middle school) and between my school now, and my old elementary is that you'll meet new people and you'll have more choices to make and you might have more bff problems or other stuff like that but I've made it through for 2 years so everyone can do it.

I go to Catholic school and I sort of like it but sort of don't. Like, I have a uniform and I hate them but there's less kids and no switching classes. Uniforms take care of what to wear to school in the morning, but I want to wear regular stuff. And it's easier to know where to go when you only have one or two teachers, but then if you don't like a teacher, you're stuck with them ALL day ALL year. Anyone here who goes to Catholic school know what I mean?

For me, I was really scared about middle school, but my mom and dad gave me advice and I felt a little better. And if you do not know where your classes are, try to remember what familiar places are right by the class, like youe history class is right by your friend's locker. 	I think the main difference is that there are SO many more people. My elementary school was a small Catholic school with about 200 kids, total. Then I went to Junior High, a public school, and there were 400 kids PER GRADE!

Ok, even though in my school 7th grade is the highest it goes. 7th grade is the grade I'm in. The school adds a new grade every year, so I'm always in the oldest class. (When I first came in 5th grade, that was the highest grade, but now it's 7th.) Since the school is so small(there are 7 girls in my entire class and no boys) there is no separation between the elementary school and junior high. I had the same teachers for two years in a row, so I can't really say anything about them being different. I guess the work is harder, but my class always gets to plan all the fun stuff like holiday carnivals for the school.

	The fact that you switch classes and have a locker, thats not necessarily near your classes. The teachers are also a lot stricter. Theres also the difference with the kids. Theres the crowd you hanged with and then theres the one who you just found in junior high. You have to fit in. Theres also so many people.

Middle school is a lot better !! there are some Queens of mean but everyone basicly ignores them becuase they are very rude! one of them repeated grades and she doesnt even remeber which ones besides this years. I am in the fifth grade and i am a little excited to go to Junior High. I have an older brother who goes to Middle School and he never has homework because he has time to do it in school. That's not me, even though I am in the fifth grade i still get lots and lots of homework. I have five different classes to go to. My first class is called "Challenge" it is for very smart people in a certain subject. I was in that class ever since kindergarten and we have been having different teachers for that class. My second class is Social Studies my third is math (my fav. subject) then i go to lunch and the lunch food is smilies/sad.gif

. Then I have science and then i have writing/ language arts and each class has different teachers. My school is very very very very very very very very very unorganized.

my school isn't as bad of some of u. we wear a uniform ugh.. it is really ugly. There used to be two queens of mean but they left in 5!!!!! i was their main person to be mean to ugh again.. but now school is good and a tip if there is a person bullying u tell somebody!! i didn't and unfortunately it affected my grades smilies/sad.gif

but now i am fine and super happy cause i really cute boy in my class likes me!! and i have had a major cruch on him sincke Pre-K! i am so happy!

You like, ALWAYS get a nice teacher in Elementary, and you're most likely to get a mean/strict teacher in Middle school. There are sports teams, (I'm on the soccer team) WOOOOOOTT! GO team!!! More gossip crushes and drama.You also get more tired after school cause first I have to stand outside for 10 minutes waiting in the coldand sometimes snowing weather.Then i have to go to the second floor put my coat up then run to class.After that class I go up to the third floor after that class I have to run down to the first floor to lunch.My middle school advice bring juice and or snacks to carry with you cause you get hungry real fast and wear flats.I wore heels once my feet were killing me.

Everything! Bigger school, more people to meet, more class periods, teachers are alot stricter, the library is huge, but besides all that there are some pros to this pro/con situation. Like Pro 1) There are more oppurtunities, like your newspaper! Pro 2) More food variaties! Well maybe it depends on the school you go to... Pro 3) AND YOUR FRIENDS!! You get a chance to chat in the hall before class. Thats a three THUMBS UP in my book! Junior high is just like a passage way to pre-highschool. It's an easy way to prepare!

	The differences from 5th-6th grade (Elementary to Middle School) would probably be that the school is bigger, you change classes more then four times, you don't have to walk in one line down the hall, you get a locker, you can talk in the hallway, and you change clothes for gym.

The difference between elementary and junior high is that elementary is you walk in line for things, there is no periods there is one class only and maybe you have two class,and plus there is no freedom.On your report cards you have to get them sign, and the food is nasty plus you get easy classwork and homework and you are treated like a little child. You a bubby to go everywhere with and its no fun at all. Get boring, in junior hihg there is lots of freedom and it gets harder and the is good food for you . There are different class to go to and there is no bubby system in junior high.Your reports you dont have to get them sign and there is projects you have to do. You get have fun and make your own choices on what you do. Plus they have fun field trips that you go on and sometimes you dont have a sarpermone with or wear uniforms. There are languages you take its all fun and you will have a blast. But there mean teachers out there so watch out for them.
