Cafeteria Chat

Yo!

Avery here. What IS that on my tray? A bird? A plane? Nope ... it's cafeteria food!

It seems like, for some reason, sitting together and choking down that unidentifiable food matter really gets people to bond. And, you know I'm never afraid to speak my mind—especially at lunch with the BSG. That's where we all feel free to let loose on any old subject we feel like talking about.

Today, that subject just happens to be the subject at hand, lunch! Everybody has a different opinion. MY favorite lunch is a big, juicy turkey wrap, but Charlotte actually seems to like that stuff they serve in the cafeteria. (My mom always says there's no accounting for taste!)

	at my elementary school, the worst food was the pizza burgers, which were always undercooked. but at my middle school, i brown bag it. the lunch system is way to confusing for me. the line is so long, that it takes some kids the whole period(40 min) to get to the front of the line! not for me.

	Every Thursday, it's pizza day! I get to help serve the pizza to the 3rd through 5th graders over my lunchtime with the help of some of 3 other girls in my grade. My English teacher also helps! Then there're burgers on Wednesdays and they are the WORST! The patty is "glued" to the smooshed bun and the cheese is melted on with grease dampening the wrapping paper. EEEW!

	They don't serve anything gross at my middle school but at my elementary school they served the grossest stuff in the world. The mashed potatoes weren't even potatoes they were like soy beans and once my corn dog was green inside. The good things were the tater tots which they barley served.

Oh, and there's also this one weird lunch lady that nener makes cake or anything! Once, she was serving me my pizza and her glove came right off with it! She didn't notice and she just kept right on serving the kids behind me! When I sat down at my table, I showed my friends the plastic glove that was now stuck to the cheese in my pizza, and everybody laughed! It was hilarious! 	The lunch ladies at my school actually make us hommade cake-they make it at home and bring it to school the next day! They talk to you and compliment you, and they make luch so much more enjoyable for everybody! Plus, the cake they make is delicious and sometimes has jello in it and ice cream and all sorts of other stuff! Yummy!

our school last year had nasty food. OCCASIONALLY MOLDY apples, BOUNCY chicken nuggets (one fell on the floor, BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE!!! then we started experimenting with them now and again...just imagine the rest.), and some strange looking entres. Now, at the next school for higher grades, we have pretty good food, and if you dont like the entre, you can usually buy a bagel, which are very good, i am happy to report.

However, compared to the "shepherd's pie" (it was different every time ) the hotdogs were good food. hi, i have been going to the same school since kindergarten and i am in 6th grade right now,and in Second grade, it was at the annex and what happended was they would tell you to get in line and they would put you at a table i totally hated it so i tried to get in line with my friends so we can get to the same table but now you can sit at any table because this is the main site of the school, first Kindergarten was at the main site but it got bigger so they decided to make an annex and kindergarten through 2nd grade would be at the annex with the best playground ever, and 3rd grade up to 8th grade would be the mainsite and the playground isn't that bad i guess.

This week at school they served TERIAKI MEATBALLS!!!!!! At my school district, they make the food at the high school, then the other cafeterias REHEAT IT. Last year at the lunch table somebody had some and they stuck their milk carton into it to see what it would do and it was like glue. The milk carton stuck and it wouldn't come out of the macaroni. It was nasty. The best thing they ever served would well I don't know because I have never bought lunch I only buy snacks but my school has ice cream and chips and a bunch of other good snacks.
