Selena plays Mary Santiago, a girl left in the care of a cranky, has-been singer named Dominique after her real mother passes away. Dominique makes Mary cook and clean and wait on her two spoiled "stepsisters" day in and day out. All Mary wants to do is get accepted to dance school and bounce outta there, but when pop star prince Joey Parker (Drew) rolls back into town to attend her school—with his warm smile and dreamy eyes—her life gets even MORE complicated!
